Doo.Ri Spring 2008
(NEW YORK) Last year's CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund winner always shows her collections in smaller venues, and this season was no exception as Doo-Ri Chung presented her clothes at Milk Studios. The designer displayed very neutral colors with a collection full of scalloped gauzy tops and low belt lines. She took on a more mature, elegant direction with a Swarovski crystal bone silk dress and silk netting and high-waisted, wide-legged pants, but the jersey dresses which showcased the designer's draping skills were still her strength and cut a striking figure on the runway. Chung has a talent for working details into delicate, fluid fabrics, evidenced by the mesh-covered hems and dresses and the form-fitting, casual elegance in a cropped platinum cashmere bustier knit sweater and platinum cashmere knit skirt.
