Miss Sixty - Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2008
(NEW YORK) One of the more commercial collections presented during this fashion week, Miss Sixty’s show targeted a young, sexy customer who is unabashedly playful and flamboyant. Plastics and fluorescent colors, denim short shorts, shiny leggings, and low-cut, one-piece bathing suits provided plenty of eye-candy. Designer Wichy Hassan incorporated some of this season’s trends—one-shoulder dresses, metallic fabrics, jumpers, and bright-colored satin, which added a modern tone. Hassan also experimented with different trouser silhouettes, from slouchy and long, to boy shorts, to knee-length, skinny knickers. The accessories were an original addition, as transparent plastic beach hats, short fluorescent socks, oversized logo bags and necklaces, and shiny handbags emphasized the brand’s rock and roll, relaxed-but-cool sensibility.
