Hermès Spring 2016

Foolproof dressing, right this way. Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski’s sophomore collection for the house does not cater to sartorial risk-takers, but it offers its loyal customer an array of hardworking separates to carry her through the season and its social calendar. White frocks in various lengths, black jackets with multiple purposes, nifty trousers, and even a graphic caftan are destined to be packed in the house’s superlative leather goods and whisked away to an exotic locale for a multi-week séjour. Silhouettes were body-skimming, if not exactly body-con—but forgiving to the figure, and for that, many will be grateful, especially in this merciless season of transparency, lingerie dressing, and micro-minis.
