Condé Nast Shuttered Blog Platform NowManifest

by Dena Silver

Bloggers under the NowManifest umbrella will have to seek solace elsewhere: The Condé Nast-owned platform, which hosted blogs by the likes of BryanBoy, Derek Blasberg, Anna Dello Russo, and Susie Bubble, has been shuttered, according to a report by The Business of Fashion. So what does this mean for the slew of influential bloggers? They’ll have to manage ad sales on their own, while maintaining their own web domains. The bloggers were reportedly told about the demise of the NowManifest platform in November.

Condé Nast’s decision to close NowManifest is an attempt to focus more attention and resources toward Style.com. During August’s reshuffling of Condé’s Fairchild Fashion Media properties, both Style.com and NowManifest were the only two that remained with Condé; the rest were sold to Penske Media Corporation. The blogging platform was first added to the Condé portfolio in 2012, when Fairchild acquired Fashion Networks International, a digital media company that was the starting point for NowManifest.
