We’ve spotted him at shows around the globe (and posing for fans at Pitti in Florence), but knew so little about Instagram phenom, model, and street style blogger Mariano Di Vaio. While he was in New York for shows, we chatted with the impeccably-dressed Italian about his rampant fan base, shirtless pics, and his photog peeps.
How many followers do you have on Instagram now?
I just reached 3 million. I also have 2.3 followers on Facebook.

Any tips?
I try to show my lifestyle. It’s not always about fashion, modeling, or traveling. It’s a mix of everything. My followers travel with me.
Do the shirtless pictures perform better?
I thought that would be the case, but the most-liked pictures are the portraits…not my abs!

I do! I do! I do! It’s a good thing, because I used to go around with my own photographer all the time. Now I know all of them; it’s super cool.
