(BERLIN) Showing in an airplane hanger seems to be becoming a bit of a trend in the fashion world. Karl Lagerfeld did it with the Chanel Cruise collection in L.A., and on Sunday night Hugo Boss followed suit in Berlin. Hugo by Hugo Boss headlined the second annual Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin at Tempelhof Airport.

Surrounded by airplanes hanging from the ceiling in a massive space, models stomped down the catwalk to a thumping soundtrack with machine gun sounds blasting to the beat. The space exuded the same militaristic feel as the Hugo Fall 2008 collection. For women, sharp tailoring created crisp looks. Fitted military jackets, skirts with a variety of shapes and bottoms, and crisp basic white shirts were styled with super skinny black ties and woolen skull caps. Sleek strapless dresses created a chic silhouette. The color palette was dominated by black, white, grey, and navy, with somber looks and vibrant energy mixing to create a powerful aesthetic.
