Proenza Schouler - New York Fall 2007
(NEW YORK) Perhaps sated with sportswear from their recent Target team-up, Jack and Laz pulled a luxurious 180 from last season's '80s-casual collection. The show started out with a noir parade that no one could accuse of minimalism—see one coocoon-like rendition featuring a brocade body, fur cuffs, and popcorn knit sleeves—before moving onto above-the-knee cocktail frocks in sheeny sapphires, olives, and aubergine. Intricate, 1920s-inspired jet beading on white sheaths with black feather fringe, meanwhile, were a strikingly elegant departure for the duo.|page|
