Donna Karan - New York Fall 2007
(NEW YORK) Design-wise, Karan likes to play it clean, but this season found her looking more sensual than usual. The designer showed moderated turbans for one—less outlandish than their Euro counterparts—paired with markedly slinky, sinuous dresses that popped in satin jewel tones. The sweetheart necklines were a coy, unexpected treat, as were the hourglass silhouettes. The bands of matte and textured fabric that anchored the sea of sheen, meanwhile, ensured the offering was an opulent one, but never overly rich.
