(MILAN) Moschino
Moschino took the bull by its horns for Spring with a bold Spain-inspired collection. For Rossella Jardini’s opening number, guests were greeted with a traje de luces ensemble—a costume-y uniform adopted by matadors—with skinny high-waisted black trousers and a flamboyant riding jacket with all the bells and whistles you can imagine. Literal interpretations aside, there were wearable separates in spades. Like the boxy cardi jacket, which was presented anew in more ways than one: a navy sailor rendition, a black and white lacy design trimmed with saffron, and a classic white offering paired with monochrome cigarette pants. Skirts ran the gamut from silver floral maxis to embellished minis. To end the show with a bang, Jardini took her vision a step further with cowgirl suede toppers layered with dainty day dresses, long fringed frocks, and chap-like trousers for a cheeky nod westward. Olé!
