Bottega Veneta - Milan Spring 2010
(MILAN) "This season, we're designing as if in collaboration with a woman wearing our clothes," said Tomas Maier. "In a sense, the clothes are 'blank' until she puts them on." Clearly, the designer needs to give himself some proper due. There was plenty of intricate complexity in his masterful architectural silhouettes. Draped pieces were often highlighted with gorgeous splatters of yellows and delft blues. To top it all, Jac and Iris closed the show with epic orchid and scarlet gowns underlining a sense of optimism and confidence in Maier's latest work.
