Emporio Armani - Milan Spring 2010
(MILAN) "There's a definite mood at the core of this collection," wrote Giorgio Armani in his show notes. "A sense of freedom...a playful spirit that conveys energy and fun." In contrast to his signature line, the designer laid out a palette of pastel and primary numbers for the less costly line. Skirts were short, jackets sparkled, and bathing suits were strategically cut to shock in the right places. The result was clearly commercial and clever. The geometric patters might not alter any global trends but they'll definitely keep Armani on top of the retail game.
