Versace - Milan Fashion Week Spring 2008
(MILAN) Light and breezy fabrics walked down Versace’s runway, while Donatella channeled the force of gravity through fabric, claiming as her inspiration, "A softer line, sleek and simple. I did not want to add too much as it’s for the working woman." Her pieces had structure, but still maintained a softness, inspiring visions of a goddess. Prints and embellishments were minimal this season, keeping the focus on the fabric and feminine silhouettes. The safari theme was strong though, popping up in jackets, blouses, and trousers, with a color palette of khaki and military leaf green, while dresses were chic and tailored with belted waists and elegant necklines.
