D&G - Milan Fashion Week Spring 2008
(MILAN) Sexy came in a different form this season for Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana's D&G collection. While mini dresses still reigned, the overall collection had a more relaxed feel and '60s hippies vibe, evident in accessories such as large floppy hats, slouchy leather messenger bags, and gladiator sandals that snaked up to mid-calf, as well as in the gypsy-esque peasant-style patchwork dresses that were a flowing hodgepodge of floral prints. Mini brocade shifts, patchwork denim dresses, and beaded dresses and trousers rounded out the boho looks, while sheer dresses trimmed with neon yellow and pink ruffles were signature D&G: ultra-feminine and seductive, with a whiff of bordello.
