Chic Report: A more muted collection prevailed for Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana this season, who made a nod to the raucous looks of seventies London. The influence manifested in everything from Ziggy Stardust tees to the David Bowie soundtrack. Masculinity was a key theme, seen in tailored vests, three-piece suits in tweed and corduroy, and page-boy caps, which were counterbalanced with ladylike lace dresses and extravagant crinoline and tulle gowns."I thought it was a very exuberant take on all the high points of the season," said a visibly impressed Hamish Bowles. "Long silhouettes from the seventies and the use of lace were strong. Transforming fur into organza was delightfully ironic!"
