Chic Report: This season, designer Raf Simons created a collection all about smart, strong, architectural silhouettes with an emphasis on painstakingly sculpted pieces. Playing with necklines, he showed cowl-necked jackets, stiff, Count-worthy collars, and intricately folded and tucked turtlenecks. There were knee-length dresses in easy, classic shapes, and the colors of the season--a muted palette of navy, black, grey, oatmeal, and speckled tweed--were warm and wearable. "Simons's execution is flawlessly refined," said Bergdorf Goodman's Linda Fargo. "His obsessive aesthetic is still there--he's achieved sensuous architecture!"
