Prada - Milan Fall 2007
(NEW YORK) Was he an ugly duckling? A matted monster? Or merely warm and fuzzy? As ever with Miuccia, the answer isn't simple. Angora was the recurring reference, seen in boxy shag smocks and square, furry sweaters shown with tapered pants for a silhouette that communicated bodily unease as surely as Frankenstein. Touches returned again to the techno, with angular, '80s-sportif patterns on knits or reflective blocking on wool coats for a very 2001, ape-to-space-age leap. Both jarring and intriguing were femme-style pairings, like a tunic with puffy cap sleeves or a caplet worn over a long-haired fur coat.|page| It seemed as though, faced with a closet full of choices, Miuccia's men overcame their anxiety by simply closing their eyes and choosing. Good thing that closet’s owner understands that discord is the most modern look of all.
