Calvin Klein Collection showed their Spring 2016 collection in Milan, but joined the Men’s New York Fashion Week party at a presentation on Tuesday at Calvin Klein Collection headquarters. Stopping by to check things out were Los Angeles Lakers’ Nick Young, British Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton, Chicago Bulls’ Jimmy Butler, Andy Cohen, Tyson Beckford, and New York Giants’ Victor Cruz. The brand’s men’s creative director Italo Zucchelli filled The Daily in on the collection and answered some of our more random questions.

First year on the job: 2004

Collection highlights: “A special jacquard fabric that resembles the look of a washed denim. We bonded the jacquard to give it body and volume for a look that is iconic Calvin Klein, but subverted to make it feel fresh and cool.”

Escape plan: “I plan to spend time at my beach house with a lot of books.”

Random hobby: “Reorganizing things, such as objects, books, clothes, ideas. I find it relaxing.”

What’s your song of the summer? “The sounds of the sea.”

What was the first show you attended? “Thierry Mugler in Paris in 1986.”

What young designers in New York do you admire? “Public School and Tim Coppens.”
