(LOS ANGELES) After a seven year absence from the runway, Randolph Duke made his return to Los Angeles Fashion Week with a warm reception. Duke was inspired by what he calls the "Glamorganic," and proved that eco-friendly designs are gorgeous and glam as well, with fabrics ranging from sheer to laminated. He was informed by the indigenous foliage surrounding his new home, which translated into jungle-inspired pieces with huge palm fronds decorating skirts and tops, along with well-tailored, chic suits and elegant deep-v gowns and tulle dresses. As a mix of Broadway show tunes, Michael Jackson, and J. Lo played in the background, Nip/Tuck star Kelly Carlson and Whitney Port from The Hills took in the designs first hand. At the show's completion, Duke got his first standing ovation. "I have never ever in my career seen every single person on their feet; it was so beautiful," said a teary-eyed Duke backstage. An after party followed at the designer's home in the Hollywood Hills.
