Oscar de la Renta - Bridal Fall 2008
(NEW YORK) For fall, Oscar de la Renta showed dresses that wedding dreams are made of. “I’m trying to make a woman as beautiful as I can for the most special day in her life,” he said. “I want to give her a lot of different choices.” The traditional white and ivory palette glided down the runway at the Park Avenue Armory. A short white silk faille v-neck dress with a flower was fit for an afternoon affair in the country, while elaborate ball gowns adorned with pleated ruffles would turn heads in even the most opulent of settings. The designer wrapped his collection in ribbons and bows without going overboard. Even feather embroidery looked understated and chic creating a sense of magical elegance.
