Paris Spring 2013: Anthony Vaccarello

(PARIS) Anthony Vaccarello
What's the latest since Vaccarello's scintillating, skin-flashing noir frock graced the cover of redesigned Harper's Bazaar on Gwyneth Paltrow circa March? Well, more skin, more sexily spliced and angular cuts, wrought in an almost-uniformly B&W palette. Further sizzle came courtesy of the metallic, teal and copper mottled animal prints that popped up. While the crisscrossed minis sporting the most micro of hems were not for the faint of heart (or muscle tone), there was plenty of sculptural draping to fuss over, epaulet-trimmed blazers with contrastive collars, and tinges of army uniform-esque detailing. And apparently, Anja Rubik's right hipbone-flashing Met Gala look, a white satin number by the designer, back in May was the tapis rouge run-through for her more-slit-than-dress black finale frock for Vacharello's Spring '13 show.
