Abaeté - Resort 2009
(NEW YORK) For Abaeté's Resort 2009 collection Laura Poretzky was inspored by the work of Ellsworth Kelly, which played out in a beautiful palette of blues, gold and pastels. Though her dresses have become wardrobe staples, striped knits were particilarly strong this season. With multicolored pixel like printsm, the collection had a sense of feminine cubic pop. Sweet retro swimwear added a nostalgic element, while exaggerated zipper and button details gave looks a modern feel. Mixing beach attire and gorgeous eveningwear with elegance and ease, Poretzky continues to design clothes that people imagine themselves wearing on an exotic escape. It's just what a resort colllection should be.
