Rachel Roy - Pre-Fall 2008
(NEW YORK) Rachel Roy’s Pre-Fall 2008 collection had a roaring '20s feel as fringes and tassels adorned dresses, skirts, and tops while metallic details served as a dazzling yet understated embellishment. Kimono coats in stark white added a modern touch to a vintage aesthetic while canary yellow brightened up the collection. Chunky cardigans and belted jackets paired with feminine dresses were an interesting and practical combination, and safari-inspired pieces in green and khaki would work for a chic jungle jaunt or a meeting on Wall Street. Transitioning from spring, Roy continued to use artist-inspired prints with colorful strokes, tribal influences, and soft fabrics.
