Tommy Hilfiger - New York Spring 2009
(NEW YORK) This season, Tommy Hilfiger took sportswear to a whole new level. Silks, satins, and tech fibers in pale yellow, black, white and other colors evinced a sense of optimism. Drapey dresses and chic trousers brought relaxed elegance. Jumpsuits were on point, while boy blazers created a sense of sexy androgyny. Mixing sophisticated sexiness and restrait, Hilfiger was proud of his creations. Hillary Swank, Diane Kruger, Mark Ronson, John Legend and Bar Rafaeli were seated front row and sequestered from the press by pushy publicists wielding ‘tude to protect their A-list guests. “Those suits were actually really cool in such a dressy and unique way,” said Legend. Kruger was smitten with the eveningwear as well. “ I can’t get over some of those long flowy dresses,” she said.
