Giancarlo Giammetti Isn't So Private Anymore

by The Daily Front Row

You don’t walk through life as Valentino’s main man without a story to tell! Today the autobiography of Giancarlo Giammetti is released, which tracks his life “defined by his lifelong friendship” with the designer and “the glamorous life they created along the way,” according to the press release. We’ll say. Giammetti’s walked barefoot with Jackie O, taught Madonna how to ski, and had dinners with Andy Warhol. The book is divided into four sections with his early days in Rome during World War II revisited and his relationship with Valentino explored. “This project is the obvious continuation of the movie,” Valentino writes in the forward. “And the only person in the world who could have possibly directed it is Giancarlo.” If you’ve seen Valentino: The Last Emperor, you know this is probably worth every penny.
