Roberto Cavalli - Milan Fashion Week Spring 2008
(MILAN) Set against a backdrop of Versaille's Hall of Mirrors, Cavalli's collection mixed the sweet flower child of the '60s with the glamorous disco diva of the '70s. "A Cavalli woman used to have to show off everything she had in order to convey luxury, but now she's more simple and innocent," said Roberto Cavalli, who made a surprise pre-show appearance, walking out from the photographer's pit and chatting with editors. The collection conveyed detailed elegance at its best. The loose fitting deep V-necked dresses were accentuated with graphic florals, and feather and lace embellishments added a feminine touch.
