Monique Lhuillier - Bridal Fall 2008
(NEW YORK) Monique Lhuillier has a new favorite color: pistachio. Among the stream of ultra-feminine gowns that Lhuillier paraded out in her showroom, it was her bustled pistachio dress that stood out. Fashioned with an ivory beaded overlay (with gazar and raffia built in for structure) and accessorized with a jeweled bib necklace inspired by her ready-to-wear shows, the wedding dress designer offered a modern update on what has become her signature design. Light and airy, with soft three-dimensional floral and raw edge details, Lhuillier’s gowns continue to be swoon-worthy. For the less adventurous bride, Lhuillier also offered her take on pistachio via a subtle sash affixed to an otherwise signature gazar gown.
