Ever wonder what the mum of Savannah Miller and Sienna Miller of Twenty8Twelve, looked like as a young model? We have the photos, and she was a stunner!

"We have been very busy at Twenty8Twelve this week.  Our pre-collection is designed, and first prototypes are getting made at the factories as we speak. So it’s time to get working on Spring/Summer 2012. It never stops! Generally, when we research, we start by either looking through books and pulling out images that we find inspiring, or it all starts from a film we have seen. This time around, I was looking through STYLE BOOK Fashionable Inspirations by Elizabeth Walker that has been on my desk for ever and found this amazing picture. This stylish lady is our mum! Doesn't she look phenomenal! Ironically, she gave me the book and had no idea she was in it! So that got a whole vibe rolling, and since I found it, her friends have been sending in loads of pictures of her growing up. I think they are amazing, and wish more pictures today had this innocent and beautiful quality.

Next week, we are off to Paris to source archive pieces to find interesting techniques and finishes. We spend a lot of time turning things inside out and upside down. You would be amazed at how those details translate to modern fashion. Next week’s update will be coming from the chic left bank shores of gai Paris. Check out the pictures in our Gallery!

Over and out! Till next time...

xxSavannah

We're hoping our beloved Diane Von Furstenberg is on the road to recovery after her skiing accident, but here's something to perk up her day! Our body language expert Patty Wood confirms something we've long known: DvF's got it all under control.

"I love this photo because it shows how confident she is and her joy and ease," says Patty. "The face is wonderfully relaxed. The eyes go up, but not too much. The mouth goes up. It shows she's comfortable in her skin, with her appearance, what she's doing with her life. It's an unusually pretty smile. She has that grounded body language." We knew it!

There's so much to discuss about Joshua David Stein's profile of Benjamin Millepied in today's Thursday Styles section of the Times! But now darling—we know deadlines, and we also know research departments...but is it just nous, or is describing Coco Kopelman as a "Chanel heiress" just a touche nonfactual? Yes, her husband Arie was the president and CEO of Chanel, but shouldn't the heiress title go to a Wertheimer?

Gap opened its second denim-drenched Gap 1969 store right across the street from its old location of Gap proper. The spinoff line debuted in L.A. in fall 2009 as a pop-up store on Robertson Boulevard, and the short term denim experiment turned into a permanent location a few months later. Spiffy touches include an iPad "work table" for perusing the selection on-screen before trying on and scouting out-of-stock or online-only dungarees. Expect cuts and washes curated from Europe and Japan displayed amid folliage in the "denim wall." Prices for men and women are in the ballpark of $59.50 to $69.50, with premium price points for some of the more unusual and specially sourced pairs. Denim obsessives will delight in the specially trained staffers,"Jean Experts," ready to enlighten about the exclusive iterations in shades of blue only available at Gap 1969 locations. Sort of like a jean-ious version of those adorable Geniuses that quell your iPhone and Mac Book crises!
