Blast from the Stam Past
Just this morning, Chic spotted Jessica Stam joyfully tossing around a giant plastic heart...on an Aldo billboard ad, of course. And perusing Touch Puppet, we were reminded of an oldie but a goodie: Stam’s photo shoot for Numero, shot by Solve Sundsbo way back when in December of 2006 for issue 77. Browse the photo gallery for more images from the “Levitation” feature.

Race to the Stage
Chic has had its fair share of rock and pop this past weekend, as the Ting Tings performed at the Alliance Community Center and The Black Keys took to the stage at the Classic Car Club on Saturday night. Passion Pit also took over the venue, but a night earlier, on Friday. The Microsoft KIN Spot events are raking in Chic’s favorite bands of the moment, bringing you free shows as a part of a major social media experiment. Information about the concert is revealed one juicy detail at a time via Microsoft KIN’s Facebook page, and the final location is announced just hours before the artists go on stage. The social project is named after the Microsoft KIN Spot feature on the KIN phone. The feature lets you share photos, text, web pages, anything at all, by dragging them to a “spot” on your phone. Next up in the series of concerts? Keep a lookout for Dead Weather in Chicago. Let the race to the stage begin! Check out our photo gallery for pictures from the event, and for all the concert happenings, watch the Ting Tings and The Black Keys online.

Citrus Encores
If you don’t know that Belvedere Pink Grapefruit launched last week you probably don’t live in New York. There were tons of events to celebrate the citrus vodka last week but our hands down favorite was In the Pink a Dinner with Bevy, a lush party (organized by event maven Bevy Smith) where beautiful Keri Hilston was the guest of honor. Guests like Alek Wek and Rosie Perez enjoyed great drinks, amazing food, and the best music of the week (by Questlove) though Sessilee Lopez admitted that she could out cook practically anyone. “I love cooking!” she exclaimed. “It’s truly my passion. I could literally cook anything in my kitchen. But these days, I don’t have too many willing eaters. My boyfriend (Wendell Lissimore) is a model. And all the boys are trying to get skinny for Milan!"
