Can Chic please meet the publicist who wrote these exuberant bios of Lily Donaldson and Sean Opry? (The mods appear in ALDO's Spring/Summer 2011 campaign.) Such passion! Such admiration! Such...fun facts! It's the most enthusiastic press release EVAH! Don't miss the vid of the two most important and beautiful people in all the land!

"Brit-girl Lily Donaldson, the Brit-girl who was scouted at 16 in Camden Market and became a fast favorite of superphotographer Steven Meisel's--and British Vogue, and Harper's Bazaar, and Dior, and Burberry, and Victoria's Secret.. the list is almost as long as those legs! Yet despite her stratospheric stardom, 23-year-old Lily's never lost her love of thrift shopping. Converse kicks, and adventure, making her a perfectly adorable muse for ALDO girls everywhere. Fun fact: Her favorite thing to eat is the Portugese rotisserie chicken in ALDO's home; Montreal.

"Sean Opry is the all-American male model, an everybody from Nowhere, Georgia (he was discovered on Facebook!) with the cheekbones of a Norse god. You know him from, like, every Calvin Klein ad or issue of GQ in the last few years; in 2009, he was named Forbes' most successful male model. Tall, dark and so handsome he makes Robert Pattison look like Danny Devito, the former high school football star is now kicking it with ALDO. We couldn't be more in love."

Looks like Elle Macpherson is following in the footsteps of Heidi Klum. She's tapped to host NBC's new show, Fashion Star, a reality competition show from the producing team of Top Chef. In the show, 12 unknown designers will earn the opportunity to compete for a multi-million dollar contract that will put their designs in a major American stores. Well-known designers (qui?) and retail buyers will judge the creations, and viewers at home can purchase their favorite designs. It's Project Runway meets American Idol meets...Home Shopping Network?

Savannah Miller of Twenty8Twelve checks in from London with a rave review of sis Sienna's latest project.

"Hey folks! It’s been a crazy week at Twenty8Twelve, with Spring/Summer 2012 fittings underway. We're working with a fantastic new German pattern cutter—the ultimate perfectionist who is producing the most incredible creations. We are all very excited. Meanwhile, Sienna is still hard at it in her play, Flare Path, written by Terrance Rattigan and directed by Trevor Nunn. It's set in 1940s Britain, during the Second World War, and it follows the lives of the bomber command and their wives. It is AMAZING. I have been four times and every time, I've laughed and cried myself stupid. If you're planning a trip to this side of the pond, I can’t rate it highly enough—and I'm no theatre go-er, ironically. I think this one may have converted me!  My dad came over from New York to see it last week, and he had to walk to the theatre through the demonstrations and smoke bombs. Amazingly, it was still packed. Nothing like a bit of British grit! Hope you enjoy the pictures of the play and rehearsals. 'Til next time! xxSavannah."

It's increasingly rare to find deux Chic faves in one petite robe. But fur and snakeskin are exactly what L'Wren Scott used to make the saucy sheath that Nicole Kidman wore to the 46th Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards in Nashville last night. Also: nice bling!

We sure hope stunning strutter Anne V. is an early riser, because tomorrow morning she'll be leading TOMS'  fourth annual One Day Without Shoes, a barefoot walk around Pier 45 at Christopher Street and the West Side Highway that starts at 9:00am. The awesome event is all about the TOMS mission to raise awareness about the perils of infection and disease kids in impoverished places face by going shoeless. There's even a mobile app for iPhone and Droid for the occasion, complete with local news and events, galleries to upload shoeless pics and a "One Day Radio" station for some bareboot beats. What better (well, if ever) a reason to go on a shoeless sojoun on the NYC streets?

OK, Dan Abrams: We'll Quit Using "Bromance"

When Chic bumped into Dan Abrams, NBC's chief legal analyst and Mediate founder, last night at a screening of Source Code hosted by The Cinema Society and Coach, the first thing that popped into our head was Abrams' magical medialand bond with Men's Health editor-in-chief, Dave Zinczenko. Who can forget that Thursday Styles NY Times profile in December about the dashing duo of bachelors about town, who invest in The Lion and make the rounds on the Gotham social scene in tandem? “I'm not going to respond to the idea of the 'bromance,' because my friendship with Dave is not what the premise describes," bristled Abrams at the dropping of the other b-word. Hmm. Well, upon a re-read of the Times piece, which quotes Matt Lauer pondering that "maybe their friendship is a brand,” perhaps we see Abrams' exasperation with the term. Ever the gentleman, Abrams then apologized for the anti-bromance outburst and elaborated on his surprisingly loaded reaction to an unsuspecting, genuinely curious Chic. "It's just unfortunate that a male friendship is called a ‘bromance,’ and a female friendship is just a really cool friendship," Abrams explained. "There’s nothing more important in New York than to have good friends.”
