The Marc-ification of the West Village will continue this winter with the tentatively-titled BookMarc bookstore (in the former location of Biography Book Shop, which has relocated) on Bleecker Street. But if Marc’s site is any indication, you can get your sneak peek now. Chic can only assume there will be actual books as well, but BookMarc colored pencils, tins, and various other school supplies are all labeled with the clever name. The only problem? The projected winter 2010 open date. Where will the little chicsters check off their school supply lists come September? THE DETAILS: BookMarc tin case, $8, recycled pencil set, $9, available at Marc by Marc Jacobs stores

Macaroon Pillow Macaroon Pillow

Don’t you ever wish you could fall asleep on a pile of macaroons, or is it just nous? Your dreams are guaranteed to be sweet when you rest your little head on this pillow. The cushion’s case reads “Eat Me!” and we won’t argue with that. Alice famously got herself into some trouble by following those directions, but we aren’t worried. THE DETAILS: Bonjour Mon Coussin, $53

Rochas Fall 2010 Rochas Fall 2010

When it comes to chaussures, the term “mule” doesn’t have the most glamorous connotation. Images of substitute teachers in sensibly low heels come to mind, but leave it to Rochas to step in and revamp the word entirely with mules from the Fall 2010 collection. Gilded leather, a bedazzled buckle, a studded heel: there’s a whole lot going on here, and we adore it all. Consider us converts!

Tote Bag Tote Bag

It took us a moment to decipher the message on this tote bag, but a second glance (or a first glance in the mirror) quickly reveals the exclamation. The bag is taken from Dan Colen’s “Holy Shit” (2006) upside down and backwards painting, featured in the New Museum’s current “Skin Fruit” exhibition. While the carryall may be a bit crass, it’s decidedly clever, and that’s a combination we can get behind. So next time you feel a series of curse words welling up within you, take a breath, stay silent, and grab your tote bag. THE DETAILS: New Museum Store, $18

Scrumdiddlyumptious Chocolate Bar Scrumdiddlyumptious Chocolate Bar

Okay, so these sugary sweet treats may not get you into Willy Wonka’s factory, but we won’t complain. The promise of chocolate, toffee and peanuts is enough for us. In homage to the classic Roald Dahl tale, Chic invites you to indulge with a tasty confection. Even the name of the candy bar gives us a hankering: “Scrumdiddlyumptious.” We’re already digging in the bottom of our bags for loose change. THE DETAILS: Selfridges & Co., $6.10
