Carry That Cartier
When Cartier decided to relaunch its scarlet messenger bag, the Marcello de Cartier, the brand employed an unusual marketing strategy. Cartier sent photographer Denis Dailleux to sunny Brazil with local super Fernanda Motta. Together, the two hit the beach, ate at local cafes, and ambled along the streets of Rio de Janeiro with Cartier products in tow. Motta, who is now spending more and more time in Gotham, is right in her element.

The annual Dance with the Dancers event just became a bit more exciting. At the gala on Monday, NYCB dancers eschwed their usual comic skit in favor of an uproarious original music video, “Twirl." The founder of the Kenzo brand (which still exists, loves!) has just unleashed a series of eight self portraits. Naturally, it will be exhibited at the Studio 55 gallery in Paris and features the designer sporting his signature flower-printed kimonos. Genius once, genius forever...
