What's May without a little time on the French Riviera? The Cannes Film Festival doesn't start until tomorrow, but Chanel kicked things off yesterday by holding its cruise show at the famed Hotel du Cap in Cap d'Antibes. Naturally, Karl Lagerfeld's main muse Blake Lively was there, taking a few snaps of the show on her iPhone. (Muses! They're Just Like Us!) Others who came out to support the Kaiser include the "regulars" Alexa Chung, Rachel Bilson, Clemence Poesy, Vanessa Paradis, Poppy Delevingne and never too far from Karl's side, Baptiste Giabiconi, who modeled in the show. Obvi! Don't miss pictures of the special guests and a few shots of the collection in our Gallery.

Aww alert! Rachel Zoe and hubby Rodger Berman spent Mommy's Day brunching at the Chateau Marmont with little baby Skyler. The stylist, reality-show star and former boss of the Brad Goreski tweeted this pic of the happy fam yesterday. Zoe's "other man" Brian Atwood also joined the gang for Mommy's big day. Loving that chic baby blanket, but where are le bébé's sunglasses?

Oh, joy! Potentially faux-Kate Moss news has made the papers again! The UK's The Sun has details about the upcoming wedding of Kate and The Kills' Jamie Hince, and as usual it's up to you to decipher what's going to turn out to be true From the outlet that "broke" the story on Kate's creating a line of premium homemade jams, new wedding deets!

-The pair will marry in July at a church near her Oxfordshire home.

-Kate is planning a three-day reception!

-The happy couple will travel to their reception in a MG sports car with balloons tied to the back.

-The DJ will be Kevin O'Leary, who has played several of her birthday parties in recent years.

-An army of waiters will serve up sausage rolls and breadsticks.

-Three bands will be performing at the reception. Though unclear, it appears Kings of Leon and Foo Fighters are two of the bands set to perform.

-A source tells The Sun, "Kate wants it to be a party to remember and like a small festival."

Do you believe any of this?

Sergio Says! Weekly Musings from Marie Claire (and Beyond...)

Last week, Sergio was emailing with one of his fabulous idols (read on to figure out which one...) and reveling in Kylie Minogue's glory. And If Sergio's intentional run-ins and interviews with an ongoing rotation of flat-out fabulous types isn't enough, the man even spots stars at middle school musicals. To recap, the Daily's "The Assistant Files" kicked off with Sergio Kletnoy, and each week we're following his escapades as Marie Claire EIC Joanna Coles' gatekeeper. As always, don't forget to peruse the Gallery of Sergio's fantastic photographic evidence!

Sunday, 11 a.m.
Today should be recognized as a national holiday! Let me tell you why: it’s Joanna Lumley’s (aka Patsy Stone’s) birthday. The Absolutely Fabulous goddess turned 65 - Pats, you’ll always be 39 to me! - and what better way to celebrate than with excessive drinking and shopping. In her honor, I spent most of my afternoon with my BFF Courtney, enjoying a boozy brunch with unlimited Bloody Marys (my version of the Boli-Stoli) at PS450 on the east side. Once we passed the five-drink mark, I dragged Court to Bess, Bathing Ape and Diesel, where I dropped $700 on jeans and sneakers. Blame it on the alcohol. I finished the evening by dropping Joanna Lumley an email—we’re on a first name basis, if you must know—wishing her a (what else?) fabulous birthday. Viva la Patsy!

Monday, 7:11 a.m.
The ultimate wakeup call: an email from AbFab’s Joanna Lumley, thanking me for the birthday wishes. "My dear Sergio… You can never have enough hats gloves and shoes..." P.S. for those of you who haven’t heard the news, Joanna confirmed to me that three new episodes of AbFab will tape later this year. Giddy with excitement, I rush to the office. Work, work, work. Yadda yadda yadda. Oh, there was that crucial matter of locating THE must-have-right-away Lanvin top for THE BOSS, which I found, of course. Never doubt the master. Later that evening I was off to the Carlyle hotel on the Upper East Side, where a gang of paparazzi had staked out the main entrance. (Who told them I was coming?) Their ultimate mission: the money shots of Kate Hudson, Stella McCartney, Renee Zellweger, Rachel Bilson, Florence Welch, Hayden Christensen, Bradley Cooper and SJP, all of whom were staying at the hotel before heading off to the Met Gala honoring Alexander McQueen. I was there an hour before the red carpet to interview Danish singer Oh Land, real name Nanna Øland Fabricius, who was Phillip Lim’s date and was draped in his custom antique white gown with lemon static beaded sleeves. (Phillip's words, not mine.) I enter the suite, which was crowded with flowers and champagne - as well as a publicist, manager, hair & makeup stylists and Oh Land’s shih tzu Ujan. I spot Oh Land looking stunning, like a young Brigitte Bardot. I’m infatuated with Oh Land’s style--a hybrid of Grecian goddess and bohemian wild child--as well as her piano and writing skills. Prior to becoming a singer, she spent 10 years as a student of the Royal Danish and Royal Swedish ballet schools. Here’s the kicker: between the ages of four and 10, I studied modern dance myself in Russia. Naturally, I was hoping for a dance-off, but time prevailed and I did not get to show off my cha-cha-cha skills. We could have talked all night, but she was late. I finished the interview, we hugged and I was rushed out the door. Oh Land’s self titled debut album, including the glorious first single, "Sun Of A Gun," is available on iTunes.

Tuesday, 12:40 p.m.Fresh from attending the Met Gala,  Livia Giuggioli - Colin Firth’s wife and my boss' BFF - came by the office to talk about her love of eco-friendly fashion with MC’s biggest eco advocate, Amanda Hearst. I pushed Amanda aside and introduced myself as a huge Bridget Jones Diary fan. BIG NEWS: Livia told me it might get a third installment! She also told me Colin was unsure about the sequel, but she managed to persuade him. (I'm praying that the reindeer red sweater makes it into the third installment!) We gossiped about the Met Gala, as Livia showed me private photos of her hangin’ in the ladies room with Rihanna, Lauren Hutton, Yoko Ono and Salma Hayek. Oh, what I wouldn’t do to be a fly on that wall! I asked her all about the night Colin won the Best Actor Oscar for The King’s Speech. Overwhelmed and overjoyed, she said it did not really hit home for them until the morning after, when Livia woke up and asked him, Didn’t you win an Oscar last night?! Seven hours later, I was off to the Hammerstein Ballroom to see my second favorite pop icon (behind Madonna, natch), Kylie Minogue. It was the “happiest” show on earth—an endless parade of fairies, horses and glitter. With my BFF beside me, we watched Kylie prance around the stage before thousands of screaming fans. All I could think about was all those sad, lonely bars in Chelsea that sat completely empty for those three hours. Afterwards, we were whisked away to the lower level for an afterparty. The room began to fill up as everyone waited patiently for Ms. Minogue’s arrival. Too bad our fave Aussie was too tired and didn’t show up. Boooooooooo! I guess it was one too many locomotions for her.

Wednesday, 1 p.m.
THE BOSS aka Editor of the Year was out at meetings all afternoon, so I ran off to Times Square to meet Alyson Hannigan, who plays the lovable Lily on How I Met Your Mother. But really, she’ll always be known as Michelle in the role that made her famous in American Pie. A luncheon in Alyson’s honor was held at the Hard Rock Café to talk about her charity work with StubHub’s Mom's Night Out, a new program that's encouraging moms to take a night off and attend one of 17 sponsored events this summer. (Part of the proceeds from the ticket sales go to the Adopt-a-Classroom organization.) For some inexplicable reason, the hostess gave me a name tag with Alyson’s name on it, and who was I to argue? My main mission that afternoon was to get Alyson to utter those five famous words: This one time in bandcamp… When we sat she noticed that I was wearing her name tag and laughed (great, I thought, we broke the ice!) Of course she crushed my dream and wouldn’t say the funniest line out the entire movie, though she did reveal that almost everyone from the original cast has signed on for the American (Pie) Reunion movie. The first table read is next week. Stifler’s mom better be there. Just sayin’!

Thursday, 6 p.m.
Ginnifer Goodwin
and Kate Hudson are on Marie Claire’s upcoming cover. Our staff was invited to a private screening of their new movie--Something Borrowed—which also stars John Krasinski, who steals every single scene he appears in. I won’t spoil the movie for you, but the funniest part is the choreographed dance-off to Salt-n-Pepa’s "Push It" between Kate and Jennifer. I heart Kate! I’d pay to see her in anything, even a sequel to Le Divorce. Yeah, really.

Friday, 6 p.m.
THE BOSS’ 12-year-old son, Thomas, played the lead role in his school’s production of Music Man. Tonight was his debut as Harold Hill, a role made originally famous by Robert Preston in 1962. Thomas was brilliant (of course), but the real showstopper was Joan OMFG Collins sitting four rows behind me in a leopard print coat, black shades and five inch heels, watching her grandson take part in the musical. Damn you Alexis Carrington, stealing thunder from children. Have you no shame?!

BFF With Francesco Clark: Make Me Glow-rious!

It's Francesco! It's Francesco!

This week, our beauty-fashion-food guru (and the brilliant mind behind Clark's Botanicals) tackles his first reader question. Tweet yours to him directly at @francescoclark!

OK, Francesco: I'm 29, and even though I am developing a few wrinkles, I still have (mild) acne on a more frequent basis than I'd like to admit. What's my problem?

"This is actually a very common concern. There are a myriad of things that can cause this type of adult acne. I’ll give some different scenarios that may be the root cause.

Firstly, many times the problem may be something as simple as an allergy to the soap you’re using in the shower. Many times people change their soaps not realizing how it can affect your skin. It can be overly drying, actually stimulating your skin to produce more sebum. Conversely, it can be too oily, clogging pores. Pay attention to your skin type and your soap.

Secondly, stress can also change your complexion. When our bodies become physiologically stressed, for whatever reasons – not sleeping enough, work, emotional, a slight nutritional imbalance – our bodies produce cortisol, which, in turn, makes your skin produce more sebum. Sebum is the natural oil, created by the skin’s sebaceous gland, and an excess of this will result in more oily skin, that may be prone to break-outs.

Finally, are you using the same products you were using five years ago? Your skin changes as it ages, and you will need to pay particular attention to these changes. Your daily SPF and foundation, for example, may be too thick, and old. You may also be overly aggressive in treating your skin, and be mindful that acid peels will make this problem worse for those suffering from acne rosacea.

The most susceptible parts of the body to acne are the face, the back, and the chest, mainly because they contain the highest density of sebaceous glands, the glands responsible for excess oil production. In some rare cases, acne can appear on other parts of the body that also have sebaceous glands. To prevent acne flare-ups all over, try a wash using salicylic acid, opening clogged pores and neutralizing bacteria that can cause acne. I also recommend pairing this with willow bark extract, a natural precursor to salicylic acid, and eucalyptus for its antimicrobial abilities to ward off a flare-up.

P.S. My assistant started developing acne on her chin, and we couldn’t figure out why. Then we realized she was allergic to her boyfriend’s products, and just a quick peck of affection caused a reaction in her skin. He switched brands, not girls, immediately. And if that isn’t a testament of flower power, I don’t know what is."

It doesn't take much to make Gisele look sublime, but after the splendor of that crimson vintage McQueen she wore to the Costume Institute Gala, this LBD feels especially fresh. Mrs. Tom Brady sported a crêpe cap-sleeve dress by Victoria Beckham to the 2011 Global Environmental Citizen Awards, held in her honor at Boston's Harvard Club, on May 6, 2011.
