He began his week with some poolside lounging and hilarious people-watching at SoHo House, squeezed in some quality time with Sarah Jessica Parker--it's so much more than your standard Q & A encounter, trust us!--and later bumps into a fashion mover and shaker strolling the streets in short-shorts. Plus! Sergio Kletnoy, gatekeeper to Marie Claire's EIC Joanna Coles, supplies a list of his latest ear candy to spruce up your weekend playlist...As always, check out the Gallery for flat-out fab photographic evidence of Sergio's whirlwind week.

Today, in a scene straight out of Sex and the City, I spent the afternoon at Soho House with my friends Matty and Kathryn. (Note to SoHo House haters: I was there strictly for the cocktails.) Relaxing by the pool, we observed an interesting cast of characters: fashionistas by the bar, Chelsea boys in one corner, Wall Street types in another, and one really annoying guy in madras shorts dangling his feet in the pool as he waved hello to everyone as if we were in his backyard. It started to pour, so we guzzled our drinks and headed down to the bar to play Jenga (!!) and stuff ourselves with overpriced, miniscule portions of chicken nuggets and cheese cubes barely big enough for even a well-dressed mouse. Gotta love New York.

Off to MILK Studios with my friend Courtney for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be photographed by my fave lensman, Rankin. While shooting his new book, Rankin was snapping pics of several lucky New Yorkers who paid $100 a pop for the privilege. (All the proceeds went to Oxfam.) Rankin has shot just about every boldfacer you can think of: Jagger, Kylie, Lindsay, Justin, Kate, Jay-Z, MK & Ashley, Heidi, Bowie, Adele, and of course, Madonna. I knew I was in great hands. We were whisked away to hair and make-up and, half an hour later, we were standing in front of the world famous master and his camera, posing like rock stars. He took eight shots, declared all of them perfect, and who was I to argue? Now I can say that Madonna and I were shot by the same photographer. Fancy that!

I’m a huge Michael Jackson fan. My first genuine music memory is from communist Russia. As a five-year-old kid obsessed with music, I spent every Sunday morning in front of my grandma’s old TV set watching a weekly 30-minute music program called Morning Mail, featuring Russian pop videos, capped off with a single international hit. When Billie Jean aired, I froze, mesmerized by those floorboards lighting up. After that, I practiced for hours and hours on end trying to light up my grandma’s kitchen floor with my own dance moves. Alas, no luck. Anyway, tonight I was invited to attend a screening of a deeply moving documentary about MJ, called The Real Michael Jackson. Giddy with anticipation, I arrived at a private screening room in midtown with about 15 others. Sitting directly behind me was the soul legend and the woman responsible for all of those Psychic Friends Network phone calls I made as a kid, Dionne “That’s What Friends Are For” Warwick. Right in front of me sat one of the biggest British music icons of all time, Cliff Richard, who at 70 years old looked better than most men half his age. To my left was mega-producer, reality TV star, and MJ’s best friend, David…as in David, the former Mr. Minnelli. I promised not to reveal anything about the documentary, but I will say this: I sobbed for two and a half hours and learned things about the King of Pop that I never knew before. I rushed home and practiced the moonwalk in front of my mirror for the next two hours while listening to the greatest entertainer that ever lived.

We never saw this one coming—Karen Elson and Jack White are splitting after a 6-year marriage and two children. But when fashion royals split, they do so in style. Tonight, the Nashville-based "friends" are throwing a divorce party, complete with "dancing, photos, memories, and drinks with alcohol in them." In a statement released by their rep: "We remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children Scarlett and Henry Lee. We feel so fortunate for the time we have shared and the time we will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow. In honor of that time shared, we are throwing a divorce party, an evening together in Nashville to re-affirm our friendship and celebrate the past and future with close friends and family."

Anyone who attended Frida Giannini's Spring 2011 collection for Gucci can attest that this particular vibe (especially the silk florals) will resonate well with musicians. (Jennifer Lopez already sported the red gown to the Costume Institute Gala.) No surprise, then, that today, the brand announced that it will outfit Florence + The Machine chanteuse Florence Welsh for the band's North American tour, which kicks off tonight at Bonnaroo and will hit 17 cities this summer. “When Florence first came onto the scene, I was captivated by her eccentric style and her willingness to dare," said Giannini in a statement. "I felt there was such an authentic energy to her sound and her look. This was confirmed when I met her at the Grammys earlier this year. I used one of Florence’s songs, ‘Hurricane Drunk,’ to set the mood for my Autumn Winter women’s show, as she was truly an inspiration for this collection as a modern day icon with her cinematic allure and powerful presence.”

Our jetsetting Chic columnist Rebecca Minkoff stayed close to home this week—in the name of the CFDA Awards.
Don’t get me wrong—my travels around the world are not only an amazing perk of my job, but they are very important to me as a human because they’re so much fun! As a designer, I must say that one of the most important trips I’ll take this year is my walk down the red carpet at the CFDA Awards. Being inducted into the CFDA last year was such a tremendous honor, and simply being at the awards ceremony fills me with pride in my brand and what I’ve accomplished so far. This week, I’m taking you to the CFDA awards with me and my date, supermodel extraordinaire Behati Prinsloo!
I’m five months pregnant, and that does not lend itself too well to being photographed for an hour next to a Victoria’s Secret model. However, after spending a full afternoon with my glam squad dream team and slipping into my sex-on-toast Balenciaga gown, I feel like Natalie Portman--except prettier! In the moments leading up to the red carpet, keeping your energy levels up is top of mind. So, my delightful and very intuitive publicist shows up at my apartment to pick me up avec cheese pizza and cheese bread for the car ride. To me, nothing calms my nerves like a healthy dose of carbs! Once we pick up Behati, who is the sweetest of the sweet, we’re CFDA bound.
Arriving at the red carpet is a little disorienting with the flurry of flashbulbs, designers, celebrities, publicists and media running around, yelling and trying to navigate the sea of people. It’s immense. Truly. I, luckily, walked the carpet right behind fashion icon, Michael Kors (flanked by Ashley Greene and Miranda Kerr…Not too shabby, Mr. Kors) and right in front of comedienne Kathy Griffin. I made sure to eavesdrop as Robert Verdi gave Kathy a last minute tutorial on impactful red carpet posing. I hope it paid off! Kerr and I had a great chat about babies, and I pray that whatever she did after having her body rubbed off on me a little bit. She looks so beautiful and she JUST had a baby.
One of the best compliments a designer can receive is the kind that comes from a fellow designer. Running into the Rag & Bone hotties on the carpet and having them tell Behati her dress was beautiful was a major high point. I respect those boys' work so much! Once inside the awards ceremony, the laughs came hard and fast from the always hot topic of conversation, Lady Gaga. I mean, how does she work those shoes like that?! Things I’ll never know, yet always wonder. Feeling incredibly inspired and ready to tackle the next, I headed home to rest up for my Holiday 2012 presentation…Be sure to check it out!

Once again, the British tabs come through for the public! Thanks, guys. In the latest "news" about the impending Kate Moss and Jamie Hince nuptuals (a.k.a. the Royal Wedding Part Deux) The Sun reveals, '"Kate Moss is weddy to party'. More totally true details about her hen weekend and theeeee July 1st (or is it July 2nd?) wedding have been uncovered. Those junior Piers Morgans don't rest.
1. According to the paper of record, Kate wants to par-tay before the wed! Sources reveal to the tab: "Kate knows she's in for a mental one, but she'd be upset if she didn't get that. The hen do has been set out with precision timing but basically the plan consists of getting smashed for two days before a slightly more leisurely Sunday. Guests have been told to have a forfeit and a game ready as well as headache pills. There's no theme but novelty items have been packed for the journey down as well as champagne. But there's no need for a stripper. Kate will probably do her own." What good friends!
2. The wedding singers for the festival have been revealed! As previously reported, The Foo FIghters and Kings of Leon are still planning to perform. For those of you keeping track: KateStock will also include Snoop Dog and Shirley Bassey. Together at last! Manilow and Streisand are still unconfirmed. We just made that last sentence up, but would it shock you?
3. Guests will give Kate tasks to do on her hen weekend, including...stealing men's boxers. She could go to jail for that! The Sun also reveals that her friends have been warned to go to the wedding weekend with hangover cures including Alka-Seltzer and Nurofen. Chic also recommends a major grain of salt.
Calls to Kate and Jamie's reps to confirm were not returned because we didn't want to waste their time.
