When Tommy Hilfiger tapped Peter Som to freshen up his collection last fall, it seemed a match made in heaven---and after the brand's universally-lauded Spring 2011 collection bowed last night, it seems only fair to give Som a portion of the props, non? Chic caught up with the designer at Tommy's epic 25th anniversary bash for a few words of congratulations.

We loved it! How did you and Tommy develop the collection?
I talked to Tommy about what he thought was quintessential about the collection, and we came about this sort of country club with a twist. Funny, quirky, preppy---but sensible all-America. That's where we started.

What would you give Tommy for his 25th anniversary?
Tommy doesn't need anything; he's got this amazing, successful company and everyone loves him!

Will you be doing this collection for the next 25 years?
Let me drink to that!

Looking to freshen up T with some A-list talent, Sally? Chic caught up with Office funnygal Rashida Jones at the Derek Lam show yesterday and she threw her hat in the ring. "I'd love to edit T or something that has an artistic edge," she said. "I love all that high, high fashion. If I had to be an editor, I'd want to be fabulous and wear pants that are bigger than my whole body but somehow make it work!"

Vlada Roslyakova: Is that where you tell the world every time you do something? I don't know if I could do that being a private person.

Joe Zee: I'll let Prabal have the Twitter crown. I'm so bad lately; I do all my writing in clumps when I have time. So you gets clumps or nothing!

Ken Downing: My company is going have me Twittering very soon. Will the rest of the world care of what I'm doing? I have no idea!

Sarah Rutson: Someone started a Twitter account for me and I keep getting these emails with people wanting to follow me. But sorry, I just don't understand it.

John Dempsey: I don't think I can walk and Tweet at the same time. I've mastered Facebook recently, so that's enough.

Ann Caruso: I don't tweet. I'm really into Facebook right now, and, thankfully, Prabal is addicted to that, too, so I'm not missing it out.

Rachel Zoe: I do Twitter and I twitter with Prabal a lot. He’s a very dear friend. I’m the president of his fan club. I’m proud of it. In fact, I should do it right now, I should twitter and tweet that the show's about to start.

Suzy Menkes: You know, I don’t have time to Twitter. I have to write my stories the moment I leave, so my Twitter is usually a bit longer, like 500 or 1500 words.

On Sunday night, the day after Zac Posen’s Z Spoke show, Posen celebrated with friends and family at what’s soon to be midtown’s hottest new night club and restaurant, Lavo, owned by nightlife impresarios Jason Strauss and Noah Tepperberg. For those of vous who missed the show, Zac showed highlights backstage and a sped-up version of the show on big screens while the Misshapes spun. On hand to toast his event were Kristin Cavalleri, Chantal van Santeh, Perri Reese, and Sarah Paxton. While revelers were dancing and enjoying the free-flowing champagne, Zac and his mother remained in a tête-à-tête with Vera Wang in a banquette. Could we see a future collaboration in the stars?

The M.A.C honcho gives Chic tout le scoop, from his most-anticipated shows to his latest pop culture obsessions, high-brow and low ...

1. Tom Ford’s top secret cocktail on Sunday. I’m excited to see what’s up.

2. For some reason I can’t get Nicki Minaj out of my head, I haven’t been this excited about a pop star since Lady Gaga!

3. The September 30th debut of M.A.C’s Venomous Villains Collection. I’ve always been such a big fan of Cruella de Vil’s. I hope she outsells the Wicked Queen from Snow White.

4. Shows that I’m looking forward to catching at M.A.C & Milk and Lincoln Center: Rachel Roy, Tory Burch, Prabal Gurung, Derek Lam, Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, Alex Wang and Altuzarra.

5. The screening of Woody Allen’s You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger next week and dinner at the MOMA. It’s sure to be a huge hit this fall.

6. The opening of Black Swan. Natalie Portman is supposed to be unbelievable; M.A.C did a lot of the makeup.

7. Richard Press’ amazing documentary, Bill Cunningham New York.

8. The 3rd season of Glee and all of those shows where somebody gets a rose.

9. The 90th anniversary of French Vogue.

10. The amazing musicals coming into town like Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson and Woman on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.
