Hey Jude…and Matthew!
The photogs and camera crews went wild when Jude Law took a seat in the front row of Saturday’s Twenty8Twelve show (for those a little behind, the line is designed by Savannah Miller and sister Sienna, Law’s very on-again girlfriend), but personally, we were a bit more surprised to see another handsome gentleman sitting up front: Matthew Williamson. Sienna’s a front-row fixture at Matthew’s shows, but as far as Chic knows, this is the first time the tables have turned. Adorable BFF alert!

T'es ou, Philip Green?
Topshop honcho and Kate Moss bestie Philip Green (sorry, Sir Philip Green) was nowhere to be found on Saturday at Topshop’s runway show in the old Eurostar terminal of Waterloo station—nor was his footsteps-following daughter, Chloe. The culprit? Yom Kippur. Darling Green family: if New York can press on through FNO on Rosh Hashanah…

A Moment With...Thomas Tait (Most Buzzed About Debut Designer of LFW)
How are you feeling after your first show?
It’s awesome. Every single day, it was like, this is not happening, it’s not going to work out—and now I’m like, okay, it worked out. It’s been insanely cool. I’m exhausted, but I’m really happy that I decided to do my own thing, direct my own show, organize the venue. More than anything it was a learning experience. Working with the people who do the leather and the people who do the shoes, going to the suppliers and speaking to musical artists about how we were going to mix the music. I’ve met so many people over the last two months, and that’s going to be something I can take with me and develop. It’s invaluable.
Tell us about the collection.
I wanted to do something that felt very cold. It’s a Spring/Summer collection, so I wanted fabrics that absorb humidity and are cold to the touch naturally. I wanted to do something that felt fast, but not in a fast-fashion manner; something about the touch of the garments and the finishings being really smooth. A lot of the garments are just one piece, and there’s no seam at the end; it’s very fluid. So something that felt fast in that sense, and clean.
What was the collection inspired by?
The inspiration is something I can never really pinpoint. I make the clothed myself and I cut the patterns myself—of course I have help in the studio, but all the patterns are cut on my own. A lot of things just develop in the process of making it, and I think that’s really important. There are a lot of happy mistakes that go into it. I’ll make something, and think, that’s not what I wanted in the sketch, but it looks amazing. Let’s go with it.
Where are you from? I’m not hearing an English accent.
I’m Canadian. My mother is French-Canadian and my father is Scottish.
How have you grown since your last season?
I wanted it to be a step forward. I didn’t use any black this season, it was all midnight blue, white and nude. I wanted to get the point across that, after last season, I don’t work only in black, I’m not a “goth” kind of designer. I want this to be more approachable. One day it will be available to purchase, and I hope that’s not too far out of reality!

All Stand for Naeem!
Naeem Khan's show always ends Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on a high note, and last night's spectacular at Lincoln Center was no exception. Clearly, the audience was feeling similarly. "Am I at Armani?" mused one veteran editor as one of Khan's early looks had the crowd bursting into spontaneous applause. By the designer's finale, everyone was standing and as he walked down the runway, one could spot tears in the eyes of a few of his most fervent customers. It's OK, ladies—you won't have to wait too long until the collection hits BG.

Cleanse the Cool Way
(NEW YORK) The city's week of chic is officially over! But that doesn't mean the Spring 2011 collections fashion circuit is over—London's already in full swing, darlings. For those still Stateside in need of a detox post New York or prepping for Milan and Paris, Chic suggests a regiment of Cooler Cleanses' Raw Cooler packs of juices and vegan meals. They're a perfect way to recover from all those late night afterparties filled with a bit too many glasses of champers while not being regulated to a strict juice cleanse. Surprisingly the company (Salma Hayek's a co-founder) has managed to create completely raw vegan snacks and entrees that are both satisfying and healthy. The collard and nori wrapped enchiladas stuffed with crisp veggies and a mash of cashews, walnuts along with a bevy of spices will keep any meat lover happy. We also recommend the mustard agave coleslaw and avocado lime soup for the snack portions. Plus, you can select the two juices you want to accompany the food—stick to the decadent nut milks and refreshing citrus favors like watermelon and lime. For the best effect, pair the Raw Coolers before and after the three or five day juice cleanse. Your body will thank you!
