John Galliano Agrees To A Vanity Fair Interview

This should be interesting...John Galliano has given his first extensive interview to Vanity Fair for their July issue. Galliano's publicist Liz Rosenberg didn't have much to expand on the focus of the story, telling WWD:  “I have no idea because I haven’t seen the article. I don’t know if there’s a slant.” The interview was conducted by Ingrid Sischy, who is also a friend of the designer.

Cosmopolitan editrix Joanna Coles is out on vacay, but lest you worry he's bored and gallivanting in her absence, JoCo's assistant extraordinaire, Sergio Kletnoy, has been busy dealing with a stressed-out back. Aww! At least there were also some awesome tunes, a JT concert, and a chill sesh with Little Boots...

You know what they say: when the cat is away, the mouse will play. THE BOSS is on a business trip in Milano and I took off from work to sleep longer and play louder. Well, not so much play, but rest up and see a chiropractor for this aching back that made me feel like a 90-year-old man for the last few weeks. Surely the slouching in front of the computer, late nights at concerts, and my all-over-the-place sleeping habits have nothing to do with my little problem. Be a dear and send flowers and get-well gifts to the Cosmo office next week; I could use a little cheer-me-up!

Pain or no pain, I still managed to see Justin Timberlake at Roseland, although I only lasted one hour due to the most uncool crowd I've ever been in a room with. They sang completely off key in unison and danced with no rhythm, definitely to the beats of their own drums. I just know one thing: whichever planet that crowd came from, I  don't ever want to visit again. I also got to hang out with Victoria Christina Hesketh, known to the world by her stage name Little Boots. Boots is a English (duh!) singer-songwriter, DJ, and musician. On her glorious sophomore album "Nocturnes," she collaborated with hipster-gods Simian Mobile Disco and Hercules and Love Affair, plus paid homage to '70s disco and '90s house. It's truly a must-have for any lovers of better-than-ice-cream-almost-as-good-as-sex pop music. Vogue Uncovers How Kate Upton Became Kate Upton

At last! Kate Upton finally lands an American Vogue cover and interview after multiple appearances inside  the mag. "America's Dream Girl" tells them that despite tabloid talk she's currently single and living at the Mandarin Oriental hotel with her things in storage. She's also serious about her acting with a role in the Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann flick, The Other Woman, (we're going to go out on a limb and predict that she's playing the other woman!), and a future ambition that we didn't know about. “I would love to have my own lingerie line,” she reveals. We could see that. The new issue of Vogue hits newsstands on May 21st.

She's Growing Up So Fast! Suri Cruise To Launch Clothing Line?

Could it be? The Sun (always a little shady, but full of imagination) is reporting that Suri Cruise is launching her own clothing line this Fall in an unnamed department store. According to their sources the line will include everything from dresses to shoes and accessories. "This is a nice hobby for her," the source tells them. "It’s certainly not going to take over her life. Most girls dream of being able to make their own clothes, this just means her drawings will now become a reality." The line will be called (wait for it)...Suri. We love everything about this.

Eve's new album Lip Lock drops on May 14th, so last night Monika Chiang threw a bash for the rapper at her Soho boutique in Manhattan to celebrate. Estelle, Melissa George, Chris Burch, Melanie Fiona, Ann Caruso, and Isabel Dupre came out to preview Eve's first album in a decade (really?) while sipping Nicholas Feuillatte champers and nibbling on mini Georgetown cupcakes adorned with album imagery. As for their looks? That black leather dress on Eve (pictured) is indeed Monika Chiang with Ziba d'Orsay pumps.
