Page Six reports that Rihanna is suing Topshop for a whopping $5 million for selling t-shirts with her image without her consent. Sources tell them that RiRi's team has been trying to work out some kind of deal for her to get paid for using her image, but Topshop owners haven't seemed to care. This might be a losing battle for the singer because there are no laws in the UK that protect artists, but she's already spent almost $1 million in litigation. She is maaaaaaaad.

The cool kids stopped by Acne Studios in Soho last night to celebrate the launch of the new book, Bruce of Los Angeles Rodeo, and meet the original cool kids, namely Fran Lebowitz and Vince Aletti. The tabletop tome features the work of Aletti, who is one of the most influential photographers and pioneers of male nude iconography. Spotted: Mia Moretti, Leandra Medine, Brendan Fallis, Hanne Gaby, Laura Brown, Kate Foley, Michelle Jank, Magnus Berger, and Jay Errico. On May 23rd, the book will launch in all Acne Studios worldwide.

Surf's up! Last night, Tommy Hilfiger celebrated the launch of a limited edition "Surf Shack" capsule collection and collaboration with Art Production Fund at No. 8 in Manhattan. Artists Lola Montes Schnabel, Richard Phillips, Scott Campbell, Gary Simmons, and Raymond Pettibon were all asked to apply their talents to design a limited-edition set of surfboards that were on display at Amy Sacco's clubhouse. “The collection represents the Tommy Hilfiger brand’s love of blending East Coast prep with West Coast cool, and I’m honored to have the artists’ surfboards included in the program," Hilfiger said. "Art plays a significant role in my own design process and I’m always inspired to collaborate with great artistic talent.” The boards will be available for purchase at select Tommy Hilfiger stores and on the Surf Shack bus in North America that kicks off in San Diego in June.
