Victoria's Secret Slams Kylie Bisutti Allegations

Don't mess with the angels! Earlier this week former model Kylie Bisutti, who won the Victoria's Secret Angel Search competition in 2009, revealed in her new book I'm No Angel that modeling for VS made her feel like a piece of meat. Now the brand is firing back and released a statement clarifying their relationship with the 23-year-old.

Here is the statement sent to us from reps for Victoria's Secret:

“Ms. Bisutti has made numerous fabrications and misstatements of fact regarding her brief association with Victoria’s Secret. In 2009, Ms. Bisutti won an online amateur modeling competition and hasn’t worked for us since that year. The prize for the winning contestant was the unique opportunity to a one-time walk in the 2009 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Ms. Bisutti also participated in a swim photo shoot in 2009. That was the extent of Ms. Bisutti’s involvement with Victoria’s Secret. She was never a Victoria’s Secret “Angel” as defined by the terms of our Angel model contract. And contrary to Ms. Bisutti’s claims, she was never offered any subsequent modeling contracts or opportunities with Victoria’s Secret despite her multiple appeals for further work. She has repeatedly fabricated her work experience with Victoria’s Secret – including a relationship that simply did not exist."

Bisutti is currently living in Montana and describes herself on Twitter as a servant of God and step-mommy to little Noah. Her new book comes out next month.

Fern Mallis is back May 7th with another one of her already legendary 'Fashion Icons' chats with Suzy Menkes in the hot seat next. What does one ask a legend like Suzy? "I'll ask her all about her life, and how she came to be a ‘critic’ of fashion," Mallis tells us. "But I love learning about families and how she found her style surrounded by so much of it in the industry. Most people here have had a chance to read Suzy but have never really 'heard’ her voice. Far, far away from NYC's party circuit this weekend, and post-Coachella, a different kind of shindig du note is going down in the desert. Today, in TGIF-worthy bon mots: Prince is hitting up the Hard Rock Hotel in Sin City, dovetailing with the music-centric hautespot's 10th anniversary of its (in)famous Rehab pool party. (By "pool party," think club-apropos shenanigans in broad daylight, waist-deep in water. Splashy good times!) The homme who's cool enough to have temporarily switched his name to a symbol is doing a quartet of shows, two per eve, tonight and tomorrow. But will Prince get a cooldown from the 90-degree temps and the back-to-back shows during his Vegas tour of duty with some poolside debauchery on Sunday, as French electro duo Justice takes on DJ duty all afternoon? Fingers crossed! Look out for the profusion of purple in neighboring cabanas.

What’s the rowdiest soirée you’ve ever thrown?

We have a ‘no camera, no touching’ rule, but at one party two women got topless with our model.

Where do you find male models?

We tried Craigslist, but 80-year-old men sans boxers would send in pics. Now we use modeling agencies. We want to have fun but also be respected in the art community.
