Handbag intel! Tina Craig and Kelly Cook of the über popular bag website Bag Snob are launching their own line of handbags for HSN. The collection will be called Snob Essentials and will range in prices from $68 to $108 (not-so-snobby price points!). HSN has ordered 6,000 of the bags, while luxury retailers like Italy's LuisaViaRoma has ordered 700 bags in every style. The collection will be exclusive to HSN for Spring 2014, but will expand to other retailers like LuisaViaRoma come Fall. Craig and Cook's bag launch follows last year's deal the duo struck with Beanstalk Group, which serves as the brand's licensing agent last year. The agency was responsible for nabbing Artisan House to produce the bag line for two years. The handbag line will debut on HSN on May 15th at 9 p.m.

If it ain't broke...Nicole Kidman returns as the face of Jimmy Choo for the fourth time in this just-released image by shutterbug Willy Vanderperre. "I really enjoyed working with Willy, he gave me such great direction it was like being on a film set,” Kidman said in a release. “It was fun to embrace a more rebellious spirit for Jimmy Choo; we listened to a lot of great rock music to get in the mood for the shoot.” Works for us! The campaign will hit the pages of your fave glossies in May.

Bruce Weber shot Johnny Depp avec a teddy bear for the latest issue of Interview, and the 50-year-old-actor shared his feelings on reality TV for the cover story. "People get famous for I-don't-know-what," he tells Iggy Pop. "People have reality shows because they're a Hollywood socialite, and these things become very successful. It is like watching a fire. You can't take your eyes off of it." Depp also reveals that his first acting role was working as a telemarketer: "I marketed pens - on the phone," Depp recalls. "But the beauty of the gig was you had to call up these strangers and say, 'Hi, how ya doing?' You make up a name like, 'Hey, it's Edward Quartermaine from California." Ha! Anybody who has ever watched General Hospital will get that reference.

This week's issue of Adweek is all about women, and the cover story features Cosmopolitan EIC Joanna Coles in convo with Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski, Sarah Hofstetter, CEO of digital marketing agency 360i, Nancy Reyes, the managing director of Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, and Nadja Bellan-White, senior partner and managing director of Ogilvy & Mather. The fascinating chat touched upon oodles of topics, and Coles weighed in on Photoshopping in the pages of glossies. First lesson: if you skip the retouching, expect a whole lot of incredulity:  "...the funny thing is, when I was at Marie Claire, we did a cover and whole shoot with Jessica Simpson with no makeup. We didn’t retouch it. Nobody believed us. You cannot win at this game," Coles said. But the editrix is perfectly OK getting in on some Photoshop action herself: "And I've never said we don’t retouch magazines, retouch images in the magazine—and I want my Editor's Note to be the first to be retouched, I am telling you right now." Coles had even more to say about all things Photoshop: "But we do very light retouches, so you know, if someone comes in with a zit or a cold sore or they’ve got a piece of hair sticking up here which nobody noticed at the shoot, we will take it out because otherwise it's distracting. And what often people don’t realize when they haven't been to a photo shoot is the disproportionate impact that very strong lighting can have. So you know, one limb could look enormous or your shoulders are suddenly up here. So we might address those things because photographs do weird things to people. So, we don’t do drastic retouching—I never take 30 pounds off someone." Intriguing, non?

Savannah Fashion Week is granting Chris Benz with their first-ever Savannah Fashion Visionary Award. Random alert? Not quite! Benz, a Seattle native, often returns to the Georgia city for inspiration and has previously been a mentor to SCAD design students. He even named his Fall 2011 collection “Spooky Savannah.” And while he put his namesake collection on hold over a year ago, Benz is keeping busy with an eBay partnership, a London Fog capsule collection (so apropos for today's weather), and consultation work for Synchro Crossing, a Japanese label. Peachy keen, non?
