Proving once again that it didn't really happen unless there was a selfie taken, Jude Law was indeed at last night's The Cinema Society screening of his new flick Dom Hemingway. We have the proof with this picture of a pic being taken by co-star Madalina Ghenea (wearing Links of London, the eve's co-host) before the film commenced. Karen Elson, Lena Dunham, Dree Hemingway, Jenna Lyons, and Allison Williams were a few the boldfaced names who caught the flick before carrying on to Il Principe at Hotel Hugo for an after party, with drinks provided by Moet & Chandon. Numerous selfie encounters were spotted.

We forgot Drew Barrymore was pregnant until we saw shots of her on the red carpet at last night's CinemaCon presentation of The Big Picture at Caesars Palace in Vegas. Holy yellow cuteness! DB's wearing a vintage dress from Ludwig Boutique. A Vegas win if there ever was one.

It was a mouthwateringly good week for Sergio Kletnoy, who squeezed quite a few delicious to-do's into the mix of his duties as righthand man to Cosmopolitan for EIC Joanna Coles. From a Bloody Mary brunch to an Italian feast at Carmine’s, there’s lots drool over (including Jude Law who entered the picture.)
Just another jam-packed week in Cosmo-land and I might be tired, but I’m not complaining. It started off with Woody Allen’s Bullets Over Broadway, which is currently in previews at the St. James Theatre. The play is set in 1920’s New York and is about a struggling playwright, Zach Braff, who's forced to compromise his artistic integrity in order to get his play produced. The film version, which is laugh out loud funny and one of my fave Woody films, stars John Cusack, Dianne Wiest, Jennifer Tilly, and Harvey Fierstein. The Broadway version is just as good and totally changed my opinion of Zach Braff, who was electrifying. After the play I stopped by The Plaza for a late evening drink with a dear friend who is in town from Monte Carlo. We had one too many cocktails and at one point, on her way to the ladies room, a burly gentlemen from a land far, far away thought she was a call girl and tried to pick her up. It was just like the scene in Pretty Woman, only the guy looked nothing like Richard Gere...
Next up: dinner at Carmine’s in Times Square with a gang of former Marie Claire co-workers. Yes, I know it’s cheesy, but the food served family-style is excellent! One of my friends, who now lives in London, suggested Carmine’s, and I was a bit judgmental, but I am now a changed man. We had stuffed mushrooms, fried zucchini, arugula salad, and chicken with pasta, and they were all delish. We had such a great time that I ended up missing an after party for Arnold Schwarzenegger at The Skylark to celebrate the release of his latest film called Sabotage. Hopefully there will be other opportunities for me to meet Arnold and his muscles. My photobooth is ready!
I also had the best time ever at a Bloody Mary brunch hosted by Stolichnaya Vodka and Katie Lee at the King Cole Bar inside the St. Regis Hotel, aka the birthplace of the iconic cocktail. We had a tasting menu of five Bloodies: Lone Star (a Southwestern take on the American classic with hot sauce and bacon), Five Borough Bloody (an homage to NYC with horseradish and pickles), Mediterranean Mary (inspired by South Beach with parmesan cheese and mozzarella), The Red Snapper (the original St. Regis recipe), and Mary by the Beach (Katie Lee’s own recipe with shrimp, inspired by the Hamptons). After an hour of sipping Bloodies, I jetted off to Steak ‘n Shake for a mouthwatering burger, greasy fries, and a yummy footlong hot dog. It was exactly what I needed after one too many daytime cocktails.
I topped my week off with The Cinema Society and Links of London premiere for Jude Law’s new film Dom Hemingway, about a London bad boy doing some really bad things and getting into a whole lotta trouble. A few girls at the office begged to tag along in hopes of getting close to Jude, but I promised my plus-one to my BFF Courtney, who wanted Jude all to herself. Once inside the Landmarc Sunshine Cinema, I was barely able to pass through the crowds. The theatre was packed with celebs waiting to get a glimpse of Jude: Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Karen Elson, Salman Rushdie, Dree Hemingway, Elettra Wiedemann, Pat Cleveland, Olivia Palermo, and Jenna Lyons. When Mr. Law finally appeared before us, the applause was thunderous. I guess they really liked him, and I knew how he felt; when I walk down the street I get thunderous applause and whistles, but unfortunately they’re just in my head. After the film, Courtney and I stopped by the after party at party held at Il Principe at Hotel Hugo for some Moet & Chandon and a little Jude. Unfortunately, every babe in the room wanted to get to Jude as well and after a few drinks we gave up. Don’t worry Courtney, there’s always next time! For now, you're stuck with me.
Have a great weekend and catch me on Twitter at @SergioKletnoy until next week and be sure to download my fave new tunes!

Why did ELLE and Gucci take a (power) trip to D.C. this week? They were toasting their fourth annual Women in Washington Power List with a dinner at Villa Firenze, otherwise known as the humble abode of His Excellency, the Ambassador of Italy Claudio Bisogniero. ELLE’s EIC Robbie Myers and publisher Kevin O’Malley headed down to mingle with the leading ladies and raise a glass to their success. This year’s honorees included CNN chief Congressional correspondent Dana Bash, Maine Senator Susan Collins, U.S. Representative Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, NARAL President Ilyse Hogue, POLITICO COO Kim Kingsley, DC police chief Cathy Lanier, former U.S. chief of protocol Capricia Penavic Marshall, former chief of staff to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Cheryl Mills, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker, and Center for American Progress president Neera Tanden. All were present, except for Lanier, who was otherwise occupied with police biz. For more details on these successful femmes, head to ELLE.com or pick up the glossy’s April issue, on newstands now.
