Vertebrae Lamp Vertebrae Lamp

We admit, the Vertebrae Lamp created by South African artisans Gerhard Swart and Anthony Harris is jarring at first glance. But once you get over the initial, freaky feeling, then it’s really quite cool. It reminds us of the famous leg lamp in A Christmas Story, only, well…creepier. A tower of stacked ceramic ribs compose a 46" lamp. You’ve got to really love anatomy to add this light fixture to your living room; it’ll set you back a cool $2,8000. So much more than just a pile of bones! Available at Vivre.

That old childhood ditty promises May flowers after April showers, but Chic isn't wishing away the rain just yet. Drizzly days mean plenty of reasons to break out our favorite Burberry trench. We adore the label’s new capsule collection, Burberry April Showers, which includes both men and women’s apparel as well accessories. The collection is available in select Burberry stores and online beginning today.

Milan Design Week is keeping us delighted with plenty of pretty confections for our home. Sadly, looking at all of these marvelous furniture pieces makes us feel like our habitat is a bit on the drab side. For those of you, like Chic, who are in need of a redecorating fix, consider the Sparking Chair created by Marcel Wanders, made of transparent plastic for Italian manufacturers Magis. The chair is produced using the same blow molding technique commonly used for bottles of water. The results? Magnifique!
