Beatlemania at CDG

Just one quick glance at the latest additions to the Beatles Comme des Garcons collection, and we're already diehard fans. Thank you, Rei, for this genius collab. We were groupies from the start, but now tops and bags are available in smaller sizes, and we’ve got to get our hands on a few. Granted, a T-shirt might run you upwards of $100, but when it comes to Comme and the Beatles, you better be willing to shake your piggybank empty. And remember: no leather here. Socially-conscious Sir Paul McCartney simply wouldn’t have it.

We always knew M.I.A. had a whimsical sense of fun, but this just seems downright perilous. And yet...the sight of the singer swinging atop the city skyline looks like pure joy. Ryan McGinley’s photo shoot will be featured in the upcoming issue of the New York Times Magazine. A Chic warning: Do not attempt…at least not without the direction of McGinley!

We've definitely encountered a “musical tie,” one of those hokey holiday gifts fathers all over the country have to pretend to like, but the Sonic Fabric Tie gives a whole new meaning to the term. Alyce Santoro and Julio Cesar created it from 50% polyester (stay with us, things get better) and 50% recycled audio cassettes. Consider it the return of the tape! THE DETAILS: New Museum Store, $120

Frocks, shoes and champagne: who can argue with that combination? The likes of Sophia Bush, Amy Smart, Rachel Leigh Cook and Monet Mazur certainly didn’t Tuesday evening, as they stopped by the Sigerson Morrison and Rachel Pally trunk show in L.A. hosted by Bush at the Sigerson Morrison boutique. Now Chic feels the need to add a few more pieces to our wardrobe; luckily, plenty of Memorial Day weekend shopping opportunities lie ahead. Peruse the photo gallery for more images of the revelry!

Anna Dello Russo has her own comic, so why shouldn't Elle? (After all, they already have a television show, a workout video series, a clothing line...) The multi-hyphenate magazine has partnered with TRESemme and CAA to produce a graphic novel called Dirty Little Secret, which premieres on Elle.com. The story follows six women-about-town, with aspiring hairstylist (enter TRESemme!) Riley Kendrick as the new girl in town. But though these heroines may only exist on-screen---and on page: each series will be covered monthly in the magazine, beginning in the June issue---they'll still have a fashion sense altogether vrai. Elle's fashion director, Alexis Bryan Morgan, has styled these comic book heroines with straight-from-the-runway looks. Click gallery for some of her inspirations...
