Burberry's Coming Up Rosie

Comments | | Print

Burberry can always be counted on for a campaign lineup full of the young and gorgeous, and Fall 2010's no exception (and after that killer show in February, it's no wonder). This time around, Harry Potter beauty and Chris Bailey muse Emma Watson is nowhere to be found---but the newly-named Transformers actress Rosie Huntington Whiteley seems happy enough to step in. (We know the VS model's lips are her most buzzed-about asset, but seriously, Chic is positively bewildered by the moment at 00:51.) Check out the full video for Bailey's take on the season, plus more shearling, more military, and more RHW pucker.

It may be hot in Paris, but it looks like someone has forgotten her pants! Lou Doillon went positively Gaga at last night's Paris cocktail for Dior, where she partied alongside Monica Bellucci, Sidney Toledano, Camilla Belle, and the equally chic French fête crowd. What say you, darlings? She's got the legs, but should the Jane Birkin progeny cover up?

If you appreciated the saffron-colored gates that once adorned Central Park, perhaps you’d like to invest in a permanent piece of Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s work. Innovative art book publisher Taschen plans to release a lavish and detailed volume of the married couple's lives and work. You can own this exclusive edition, designed by Christo himself, for $1,000. Expensive? Un peu. You may want to put this oversized book in a glass display case instead of on your coffee table!

Karen Elson is on a roll! It seems like just hours ago, we were swooning over the red-haired beauty in her new Louis Vuitton campaign (side note: Chic will be desperately trying to recreate that perfect bouncy ponytail all summer long), but these shots of Mrs. Jack White in St. John are just as striking. That hair, that lip, and that perfectly matched red background make one heck of an argument for the brand. (See the Gallery for the complete campaign). Angelina qui?

Chic likes to incorporate fashion in all aspects of life, even in the bedroom. Lucky for us, famous Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama, has decided to extend her collection of modern pumpkin sculptures to la chambre. Kusama is now creating petit pumpkin pillows with her traditional trippy spots. We’re obsessed with these psychedelic sculptures.

LV Gets Inked!

Don’t be alarmed! While these neck tats look like the real thing, they are simply painted on logos for the Louis Vuitton menswear presentation in Paris, courtesy of Scott Campbell, tattoo artist extraordinaire. Campbell, who inks up Marc Jacobs, also customized a series of leather bags with the signature LV logo. We thought Chanel's fake ink for Spring 2010 would be the first and last in the designer tattoo trend, but Chic wonders: would you dare to don a label tat?
