The Frames of Life

Comments | | Print

Looks like Giorgio Armani and team are taking the "of life" portion of their new glasses collection, Frames of Life, pretty seriously. After a lovely print campaign, the brand launched giorgioarmani-framesoflife.com, an interactive online project that allows users to create their own personalized video or photo album---using Armani-approved moments (get it? Frames? Frames?) and plenty of the specs---that they can then share via social media. Voila!

When it comes to supporting education and the arts, the creative set comes out in droves. Friday evening was the private preview bash for Re:Form School, and the supporters included hosts Terence Koh, Cynthia Rowley, Bill Powers and many others. The corridors of recently-shuttered St. Patrick’s Cathedral School were filled with pieces by over 150 artists like Shepard Fairey, Swoon, Ron English, Michel Gondry, Chris Johanson and WK Interact. Re:Form School is a pop up art exhibition, event series and public awareness campaign in support of Redu.com and its efforts to expand education reform through art and innovation. All the featured artwork will be up for sale through The Hole Gallery, with profits benefitting the Urban Arts Partnership, and the exhibition is open to the public tonight. For more information on the cause, visit http://reformschool.letsredu.com

Upon perusing The New York Times' Sunday Styles section this weekend, Chic stopped in our tracks. Whoa...has adorable designer Nanette Lepore been moonlighting as uber-conservative speakers-circuiting blonde Ann Coulter? Well, if she's looking for a shocking way to bring more attention to her Save the Garment District cause, maybe she could call her doppelganger for tips?
