He may be best known for his role as Karl Lagerfeld's favorite model and muse, but Baptiste Giabiconi is adding a slash to his title by embarking on a musical career. "It will not be fashion inspired at all," Giabiconi told Pony Ryder of the upcoming album, which he describes as "electro-pop." (You can hear a clip of his single, Showtime, here.) "I don't have any pressure [to prove myself], I just do what I like and I hope people will enjoy it as much as I do singing it." But what would Karl think? Read the entire interview here.

Courtney Love sure knows how to hold a grudge! Over eighteen years after Lynn Hirshberg published "Strange Love," an unflattering profile of the star that ran in Vanity Fair's September 1992 issue, the Hole singer is still on a tear. Today's Facebook status update, courtesy of Courtney Love-Cobain? "KURT ON LYNN HIRSCHBERG. WHO WAS DECROBED TO ME RECENTTLY AS A "FINE JOURNALIST" F*CK HER. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FVbMRhYL4Y&feature=related POST THIS ON THAT STUPID C**TS PAGE." This is in addition to having left her unprintable tangents via voicemail, releasing a bootleg called "Bring Me the Head of Lynn Hirshberg" and attempting to "bludgeon Hirshberg with Quentin Tarantino's Oscar at a 1995 Academy Awards party."

Uptown, downtown---it seems chicsters will travel all over the island for the chance to dress up and throw on a mask, non? Last year, El Museo del Barrio held its annual Dia de los Meurtos (that's Day of the Dead, for those of you who don't hablo) at its Fifth Ave and 105th Street digs, but this year, the party moved downtown to a sprawling rooftop space in Tribeca. The differences ended there. Guests still enjoyed free-flowing cocktails, a fabulously festive dance performance, and skeletons everywhere one looked. Melissa George and Bibhu Mohapatra, who arrived ensemble post-FGIs, even made their own spooky friend...

What is Snob? It’s an extremely well-written, well-executed, well-art-directed magazine---that only those fluent in Russian can read. But they have budgets and direction, thanks to the intellectual billionaire owner Mikhail Prokhorov, and last night the Moscow-based folks at the magazine hosted a big U.S. launch party in Nicole Kidman’s apartment building. The bash featured everything you’d expect from a Russian party: good food (fresh salmon station and lobster salads), plenty of premium booze, and not, one, not two, but four performances, including one by lovely jazz great Cassandra Wilson.

“The editorial staff has produced both a beautiful publication and a vibrant website, utilizing the best of old and new forms of media,” said an excited Prokhorov. The project’s supporters included Francesco Clemente, Olya Thompson, Alex Soldier, Yvonne Force Villareal, Anton Ginzburg, and a fresh-from-Moscow Aliona Doletskaya. “I’m on a whirlwind trip,” she told us. “I’m leaving tomorrow, unfortunately.” But the former Vogue empress has a big project in the works. Also standing out among all the Russians? Sasha Pivovarova, who was still pondering her Halloween costume. “What can I do with pair of white wings,” she wondered. “Can I be a McQueen angel?”
