We can tell you this much: the Guggenheim never looked so good from the outside as it did last night. That’s because the museum collaborated with YouTube (along with HP and Intel) to announce the 25 finalists selected for the Biennial of Creative Video out of a staggering 23,358 worldwide submissions. The finalists’ work was projected on the walls of the museum on 89th and 5th last night to plenty of gasps and applause from the tourists. Inside the huge bash, all the 25 finalists were introduced to more than 1,300 guests in what felt like a digital Kennedy Centers ceremony. And who had to make the hard decisions in choosing the top contenders? The jury included Takashi Murakami, Darren Aronofsky, Ryan McGinley, and Marilyn Miniter. The 25 jury-selected videos will be on view to the public at the Guggenheim this weekend at the Tower 2 Gallery. Or you can just click on YouTube right now (YouTube.com/Play)!
