Maybe we’re itching for the Louboutin sample sale over here at Chic (Monday can't come soon enough!), but we’ve got our eye on these measuring tape sandals that serve up a heaping helping of whimsy. How do you measure a year? In daylight, sunsets or love? Non…in Louboutins, my dear.

Culinary (and fashion) rock star Peter Som has a new foodie obsession---and expect his fash friends to follow suit. Som's pal David Cichowicz made a big change after 14 years in publishing, opting to indulge his passion for beer. A year later, Good Beer has arrived. "The focus of the store is sustainability," he says of his East Village outpost, which features many brews from the Northeast alongside charcuterie, cheese, sausage, and more from local farms, organic purveyors, and heritage-focused producers. Good Beer's interior is made from recycled wood, and the paper products and even cleaning supplies are biodegradable. On Saturday, November 13, the all-day opening party will offer samples of beer and food, as well as gifts with purchase. Put it on your calendars, people! THE DETAILS: Good Beer, 422 East 9th Street, New York, NY, 10009.

Chic caught up with Rajendra Roy, the Museum of Modern Art's chief film curator, at last night's Film Benefit, and though we wanted the scoop on honoree Kathryn Bigelow (more on that here) we also wanted dish on his big sis, designer Rachel Roy. "She dresses me, yes," Roy admitted, though he did divulge that her advice is not always spot-on. "She wanted me to wear Thom Browne for a long time, so I bought Thom Browne—and then I looked like a tall skinny kid whose clothes don’t fit. Wrong advice," he laughed. (Roy is, after all, well over six foot and to descirbe him as svelte would be putting it mildly.) "She’s not often wrong, though—now that she’s dressed the first lady, she’s golden."

Blake Lively may be the Spring runway derby winner, snagging fresh-from-the-catwalk Lanvin just days after the show, but the rest of the chicsters aren't far behind. Eva Mendes was spotted at a Madrid photocall for The Other Guys in a stripey strapless dress from Miuccia's lauded collection---with one major edit. Where are your platform oxfords, love?
