A Sweet Escape, C.Wonder Style

With a new Hamptons season kicking off this Memorial Day Weekend, we've been eager to head out east. (Et vous?) Thanks to C.Wonder, we got a little taste of heaven a week early on Friday. The colorful emporium invited us and a fab group of bloggers to spend the day in the Hamptons for a private luncheon at Chris Burch’s country estate. Think ladies who lunch...in superfun field trip form. The festivities began with a C.Wonder-logoed Jitney full of goodies to transport us during our Hamptons day. Our seats greeted us with goodie bags filled with makeup bags,  paddle board, earrings, and a sunglass case (which was empty, so that each attendee could pick out their own pair when visiting the store later in the afternoon!). When arriving at Burch’s beautifully decorated home, we were welcomed with the same enjoyably peppy tunes that plays throughout each of his stores. 

The luncheon was set outdoors with oversized umbrellas and chairs, and large food platters awaiting hungry bloggers. The spread included a grilled vegetable platter, lobster roll sandwiches, mixed green and snap pea salads, and chips with guacamole and salsa. As for drinks? There was a lemonade stand (mint or regular, alcohol-infused, of course), plus an open bar. But our favorite part was dessert—s’mores-making at the fire pit. Childhood flashback, anyone? After mingling, eating, and relaxing at Burch’s home, we headed on back to our “C.Wonder Express” and went to his Southampton pop-up store for a shopping trip. Bloggers got to shop all of his summery merchandise (everything from clothes and electronic accessories to jewelry and hostess gifts), which was the perfect way to kick off the brand’s second season on the East End. T'was wonderful! P.S. Don't forget The Daily Summer launches this weekend in the Hamptons!

Madonna Continues To Act Like Madonna

She made it through the wilderness...Madonna does her best Madonna impersonation at last night's Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. The 54-year-old wore Givenchy haute couture by Riccardo Tisci and took home three awards for Top Dance Album, Top Touring Artist, and Top Dance Artist. Earlier this month she attended the Met Ball and showed off those legs in another Givenchy number. Could this be the runner-up look?

Nigel Barker (truly one of the nicest guys in the biz) and his wife Cristen are launching a beauty line, WWD reports. The Face host is ready to make your face look lovely with the birth of two makeup lines, Beauty Equation and BE. Expect Beauty Equation to be sold in department stores, while BE is going after the younger market with products starting at $8. Barker's also going to save a few bucks and shoot the campaign himself. We knew that career would come in handy one of these days.

The actress wore a black wool twill jumper with stone wool canvas under layer and a charcoal wool silk bra by Vera Wang Collection yesterday to the "For the Love of Cinema" event at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes. It's a very Rooney look to us!
