Who Will Replace Joe Zee At ELLE?

Now that Joe Zee's departure from ELLE is official, the rumor mill is starting to flow about who will replace him as creative director. Page Six reports today that they've heard that Harper's Bazaar's Laura Brown and Vanity Fair's Michael Carl are in the ring for the job. Interesting choices since both have major front row experience and are certainly on par with Zee when it comes to oozing with charisma. Others are murmuring that Alex Gonzalez, the artistic director of Marie Claire and executive artistic director of Town & Country, is the obvious choice. Stay tuned.

That Betsey Johnson keeps going and going and going! The iconic designer is turning back the clock with the debut of a ready-to-wear collection of 8 vintage looks from the '90s for Urban Outfitters. The collection will range in price from $89-$350 and include slip-dresses, party dresses, and very '90s baby doll dresses. Look for it to hit stores April 21st at Urban Outfitters locations in the U.S. and internationally, as well as Urbanoutfitters.com. The revival continues...

Chicettes looking for advice and musings from the top designers in America are in luck with the release of the CFDA's new book, The Pursuit Of Style. With a forward by Diane von Furstenberg and introduction by Jessica Alba, the book contains advice and insight from designers like Ralph Lauren, Francisco Costa, Jenna Lyons, and more than 400 designers with 50 four-color illustrations by Bill Donovan. Dior Is Heading To Brooklyn Next Month

No sleep till Brookyn! Looks like those grumbles from editors in February fell on deaf ears with the news that Dior is taking a cue from Alexander Wang and showing their cruise collection at the Brooklyn Navy Yard next month. The brand will be offering a round-trip, door-to-door car service for guests attending and a ferry service from Manhattan and back. All of this will likely be easier to swallow due to the time of the year and the lack of back-to-back shows. Dare we say we're actually excited about this?

Poppy and Cara Delevingne partied in Palm Springs over the weekend at an exclusive bachelorette brunch hosted by Superdry. The sisters spent the weekend at the Superdry Estate House to celebrate Poppy's upcoming nuptials to James Cook and welcomed friends Sienna Miller, Hannah Bronfman, Harley Viera-Newton, Derek Blasberg, Lily Donaldson, and Jared Leto who, uh, popped by. Nibbles were provided by Manhattan's The Wayfarer who served lobster rolls, jumbo shrimp cocktails, and beef sliders. Somewhere along the line we're sure everybody caught a show or two.

Cole Haan Expands Its Lifestyle Offering For Fall 2014

Cole Haan has been cutting its teeth at becoming a full-on lifestyle brand for the last few seasons and now with its Fall 2014 collection, the brand is expanding its lifestyle assortment even further. In addition to the accessory brand's assortment of handbags and footwear for men and women there are small leather goods, travel accessories, outerwear, sunglasses and eyewear, and even hosiery. Plus, Cole Haan is continuing to develop its "Cole Haan & Friends" program that supports third party vendors like Izola, Hook + Albert, In God We Trust, Brett Fahlgren, Daniel Wellington, and Shinola's shoe care products. "It further establishes our signature style and brand personality," said David Maddocks, Cole Haan's chief marketing officer. "These products are made by people we respect."

While partnering with other smaller brands and designers has been a model that larger fashion companies are continuing to adopt, the focus this season was on women's handbags and leather accessories for men and a return to Cole Haan's own roots. "The use of weave in both the men's and women's collections is a nod to Cole Haan's heritage," said Maddocks. As for the menswear, the Truman accessories collection will feature a backpack, duffle, messenger, and shopper bag and the Pinch Grand Penny loafer and the Glenn Chukka boot will be classic styles that evoke the iconic Cole Haan American brand personality, according to Maddocks.

The brand is also ramping up its campaign imagery with model and actress Dree Hemingway's all-American looks. Hemingway is set to appear in the brand's Fall 2014 campaign and will also serve as the brand's global ambassador. "Dree embodies an unmistakably American spirit and exemplifies both respect for tradition as well as the modern style and sensibility of her generation," said Maddocks. Hemingway will also collaborate with the brand to create a line of handbags and footwear called "Cole Haan for Dree Hemingway". Stay tuned for Fall when product begins to roll out and check out Hemingway in 2015 when she stars alongside Ben Stiller and Amanda Seyfried in While We're Young.
