Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot View Gallery
Let's all give a warm welcome to Nolan Funk, who's the new face of Versace's menswear campaign for Spring. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott shot the Canadian actor, who you might remember from a small role on Glee. He also originated the role of Conrad Birdie in the 2009 revival of Bye Bye Birdie. He sings! He dances! He poses in Versace underwear! Triple threat!

Carven View Gallery
After a few construction bumps, Carven has officially opened the doors to their first U.S. boutique in Soho at 83 Mercer St. The 1,636 square foot space will be home to the brand's women's and men's RTW and accessories. Creative director Guillaume Henry worked with French architect Eric Chevallier on the boutique, complete with furnishings developed exclusively for the brand by French design house Domeau & Peres. The flagship will be the 16th Carven store in the world—the brand has locations in Hong Kong, Paris, London, and Shanghai. Henry was recently in New York to greet editors and socials to toast the new store with a dinner at La Lunchonette.

Carolina Herrera invited editors this week to her showroom (aka hive) for cocktails to kick off the holidays and preview her Pre-Fall collection, and it's a real sting. One editor was overheard saying, "Can we just leave with this right now?" Yes, it's that divine. We asked Mrs. Herrera to tell us what inspired her buzziest looks.
What did you have up your sleeve for Pre-Fall?
The inspiration for this collection was a bee and everything connected with them.
Why a bee?
Because I love them! I have always adored them. I have honey every day of my life for breakfast.
What is it about bees that you're attracted to?
They're always busy! I always see my office like a beehive. I see my team running around like bees. I usually tell them, "You all look like bees! What are you doing?" Be happy! This is the "Bee Happy" collection. It has to be fun.
It is! Do you remember the last time you were stung by a bee?
I can't remember. I don't think I've ever been stung by a bee.
That's probably why you like them!
That's why I love them! I love the way they look, and how they're black and yellow.
Do you have a favorite piece in every collection?
No. If you see them all here, it's because I like them. That's like telling you that I have four daughters and I only like one.
This is a very laid-back presentation!
This is an experiment, and I love it. It's very informal; for me, fashion should be effortless. It doesn't have to be serious.
We love what we're seeing! Have a Merry Christmas!
It's so nice to hear Merry Christmas! Everybody says, "Happy Holiday!" and I say, "No! It's Christmas!" Three people tonight said Christmas to me. I was in heaven. Really!
Be a busy bee and check out the collection in our Gallery!

Movie night at Prada's Soho digs? Indeed! Last night ,all the cool kids donned their finest wares from Miuccia Prada to sip champagne, nibble on foie gras, and take in the latest Wes Anderson flick. Mind you, the film, Castello Cavalcanti, was just short of eight minutes long. Regardless, it was a few glorious moments of watching Jason Schwartzman as a racecar driver decked out in a yellow Prada jumpsuit. Après screening, the crowd, including Kate Foley, Giada Colagrande, Anya Ziourova, Genevieve Jones, and Nicoletta Santoro lingered for a few extra cocktails while ogling the current collection.

Gisele's Instagram View Gallery
That Instagram shot that Gisele Bündchen posted yesterday of getting glam with her team while breast feeding is the talk of the town. Denise Albert of TheMoms.com was on Good Morning America this morning and called the shot "obnoxious" and "outragerous" while others call it a "beautiful depiction of breastfeeding." One publicist sent us the following pitch to get in on the action and it might be a bit of a streeeeeetch, but props for the attempt to jump on the Gisele train.
"Gisele Bundchen, the biggest super model in the world, posted a photo of herself breastfeeding her one year old daughter yesterday – it quickly went viral. Regardless of your personal opinion on breastfeeding or Gisele, the reality is that many working moms want to know how they too can balance it all and breastfeed their baby while working. Is Gisele a role model for breastfeeding moms? How can it be easier for the “regular” mom who doesn’t have a team of people working for her?
While 80 percent of expecting mothers plan on breast feeding after 6 months it drastically drops to only 20 percent still breast feed their babies. The stresses between work, family and workplace are brought to a head when it comes to breastfeeding, evoking strong emotions from every side. While many look to continue to breastfeed they want to pump and breastfeed without wasting any milk. Now there is a no spill system that is changing the way women feed their babies.
One innovative and small company from the smallest state in the U.S., has created a product called Twist, the first and only transfer-free milk collection, storage, preparation and feeding system. Twist eliminates the need to wash bottles or risk spilling and contaminating milk, while helping to encourage the baby to engage in proper breastfeeding technique, even if mom isn't around. Twist also offers the only bottle warmer, Kozii, that warms milk per CDC specifications, without sacrificing speed or convenience. Twist makes life easier for working moms and everyone else in the baby's life!
Please let me know if you would like to speak with the creator behind this innovative and revolutionary product that was made to make a parents lives both safer and easier.

The Winter Olympics might be just a few months away, but let's not forget about swimmer and Olympian Ryan "We couldn't have made him up if we tried" Lochte. Remember him? He's teamed with Speedo and artist Dave Kinsey to design a limited-edition swimming cap to benefit Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD). The green and yellow argyle cap is said to reflect his interest in fashion. (When's that clothing line debuting, Ry?) "You know what? We got a Ryan Lochte cap?" he explains in this precious video.
