What's an actress to do when sharing a red carpet with handsome-as-ever Johnny Depp? Valentino to the rescue! Kate Mara turned to this lovely number from their Pre-Fall 2014 collection at the Hollywood premiere of their new film Transcendence last night. We'll spare you any obvious jokes about this look being transcendent, but we do likey. Transcendence comes to theaters on April 18th.

Google Glasses Can Finally Be Yours!

Diane von Furstenberg and Nina Garcia were seen sporting them ages ago, but now you'll have the chance to buy your very own pair of Google Glasses. This Tuesday, the $1,500 invention will be available for one day only starting at 9 a.m. EST. For those that need a little refresher, Google Glass is a wearable computer with an optical head-mounted display. It's also been under fire by naysayers who call it the end of privacy as we know it; the techie specs' attractiveness factor has been questioned, too. If you don't care, interested Google Explorers can learn more about this sale on Google.com.

Edun's Astounding Use of The iPhone 5S

While most of us are still working out how to take iPhone pics that aren't blurry, Edun was a little more ambitious than most. They filmed their Fall 2014 show with a bunch of iPhones—20, to be exact—and edited the footage into this short film. Director George Greville of Legs used steadicam rigs, extreme slow-motion stylized portraits of the models and a seven-phone "parallax" structure at the end of the runway, which captured the 180-degree perspective of the show. The result? You'll never believe this was shot on an iPhone! Think we're going to have to make our way to the Genius Bar this weekend for some tips.

Sergio Says! Musings From Cosmo (and Beyond...)

Backstage with Miley! Backstage with Miley!
View Gallery

Did your week involve hanging with Miley backstage, hitting up two chic film screenings, and getting a very (very!) early listen to the latest jams by a slew of pop superstars? It's OK if not, because Cosmo's Sergio Kletnoy squeezed all of that in, and he simultaneously kept things in tip-top form while his boss, Joanna Coles, was out west. Someone needs a nap, non?

Once again, it was one of those weeks…THE BOSS spent four days on the West Coast for heaps of meetings and one major cover shoot, and I held down the fort on the opposite coast. There was so much going on that I barely remember sleeping, eating, or going out. Nevertheless, I was a social butterfly every night of the week.

First up, Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz concert at Barclays in Brooklyn. My BFF Courtney is a HUGE Miley fan, so I made sure we got to meet her before the show. Unfortunately for us, she had the “sads”, as only a few days prior her dog Floyd passed away and she wasn’t in the mood for much conversation or sticking her tongue out for a photo with moi. It went something like this: “Hey ya’ll, thanks for coming, Snap, snap. Enjoy the show. Bye”. She totally made up for it during the concert: it was over the top, foul-mouthed, filthy, funny, upbeat, happy, and full of life. At the drop of a hat, I’d run to see her again and again. Oh, and Madonna watched the entire show from the soundbooth. I wonder what The Queen thought of Miley?

Next up, The Cinema Society and Montblanc premiere of Hateship Loveship at The MoMA, followed by an afterparty at The Skylark. The moody drama stars Guy Pearce, Hailee Steinfeld, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Christine Lahti, Nick Nolte, and Kristen Wiig. In a way, the film reminded me of Her and Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, but not as romantic or complex. I’m a huge fan of Kristen and will see her in anything she does. But I don’t know how I feel about this dramatic turn. Every time Wiig made a face, I was reminded of a character from SNL. I know, I know… It isn’t fair of me to compare Kristen the actress to Kristen of SNL and her slew of legendary personas: Bjork, Suze Orman, Target Lady, Gilly, Liza Minnnelli, Penelope, Madonna, Martha Stewart, Paula Deen, Lana Del Rey, and a better Kathie Lee Gifford than Kathie herself. So, I will refrain from saying anything else. Oh, and Kristen looked amazing in a geometric leather top, flowing wrap skirt, and dirty blond bob.

It was also a week filled with music! I interviewed Lykke Li at the Bowery Hotel about her new album “I Never Learn”, out May 5th. The album is a dark masterpiece—it was recorded after a relationship gone sour that left Lykke heartbroken. At the end, when I asked her to pose for a photobooth photo, she shot me down and told me she would prefer to be a bit more mysterious. Burn! The day after I interviewed the most unconventional pop star, Sia. We had an awesome phone chat about her new album (out this summer) and life in general, as she was driving around LA. Sia is one of the most in-demand songwriters working with many of today’s pop divas, including Beyonce, Katy, Rihanna, Christina, Kylie and Britney. They run to her for all the right reasons: her songs will move you, dig up emotions you didn’t know existed, and have you obsessed with the lyrics and melody after one spin. I’ve heard six songs from Sia’s new album (the title to which I cannot reveal just yet) and they are out-of-this-world good. She’s a modern day poet, who is able to take the simplest of situations and turn them into beautiful works of art. It’s going to be the must-have album of the year. I was also privy to new music from La Roux and Ariana Grande. Both ladies are getting ready to unleash their much-anticipated sophomore albums, and they’re going to blow their fans away. I’ve had the first single from La Roux on repeat for days, and Ariana’s first single is so catchy, it will have you twerking even if you don’t know how.

I was also invited to a listening session for Michael Jackson’s new album “Xscape” held at the top of 30 Rock, and Cinema Society hosted premiere of Lionsgate & Roadside Attractions' "Joe" starring Nicholas Cage. Of course I ended up working late and missed both. I’m not too stressed about Jacko, I’ll get to hear that album at a later date, but there goes my opportunity of going on a National Treasure hunt with Nicholas Cage. Thanks Cosmo, I was going to share whatever Cage and I would have found!

Later this evening, I’m off to Millennium Entertainment with The Cinema Society premiere of John Turturro’s brand new film Fading Gigolo starring Woody Allen, Sharon Stone, Liev Schreiber, Sofia Vergara, and my childhood crush, and Karl Lagerfeld’s favorite femme fatale, Vanessa Paradis. This is Vanessa’s first English-speaking role, and I heard she’s in town for the premiere. Fingers crossed I get some one-on-one time. I’m even willing to sing “Joe Le Taxi” for a photo with Ms. Paradis! It can replace the poster of Vanessa that’s still hanging in my closet at my mom’s apartment.

This weekend I’m taking it easy, but I will be back with more fun in the sun (and in the dark) next week. Until then, follow me on Twitter at @SergioKletnoy and be sure to check out my fave new tunes of the week below. Au revoir!

New York Bridal Week is in full swing, replete with lace gowns, delicate veils, and sumptuous bouquets. With a goal to make your big day gorgeous, sans the stress, Love Detailed offers up plenty of visual designs for the big day. After taking a quick quiz, a personal storyboard is generated complete with stationery suites, dessert table trinkets, and everything in between to make wedding planning a breeze. The best part? Nearly everything on Love Detailed is shoppable (and it errs on the affordable side). We snagged a moment with co-founders Brooke Polson and Dana Constantino to get the deets on their nifty planning site. Are those wedding bells we hear?

Where did the idea for Love Detailed come from?
Brooke Polson: We’ve worked with Linda Howard, the well-known Los Angeles wedding planner, for years. She does really high-end weddings and we came up with this idea to make her extremely high-end, amazingly tasteful weddings available to girls who aren’t hiring a wedding planner or don’t have the time that it takes to source, to pin, and find every little detail perfect.
Dana Constantino:
Love Detailed is kind of like a virtual wedding planner because we’re giving you access to Linda’s tips and tricks and her how-to essentials. We’re basically publishing everything that she’s learned over the last twenty years as a wedding planner.

When you purchase a look, what can you expect?
There's a how-to guide that is tailored specifically to the look you choose. You can see your must have pieces—the things that are essential to bringing the look together. You’ll see the stationary suite, the escort card table, the reception table, and the dessert bar. You can see how to lay it all out, with all the little details included. Some of the products you can purchase directly from our site, but we will direct you to another site for rentals if we couldn't find the piece at a cheaper price.

Got any wedding design tips to share?
I never thought to put a rhinestone bracelet as a napkin ring, but it adds such a nice touch of bling! And putting chocolates on the table is a nice touch, too.

And you shot all of the sample wedding images yourself?
Yes, we shot at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, over the course of three months. We used all of their ballrooms and their outdoor space. It was kind of like putting on 20 different weddings because we had to create each escort card table, reception table, and dessert bar. Then, we put together storyboards for each look.

What’s the most important feature overall for a wedding?
BP: I think it’s just how the bride emotes her feelings—making people feel warm, making sure the entertainment is great, and making sure all the little personal details are very thought out.
